I played on Sunday, despite the frequent slow play. The rough was so long and thick that finding my ball was enough of a challenge, let alone trying to hit it out. I doubt I will play there again.

Staff is excellent from the check-in, bar/food concession and starter. The course is in excellent condition and always a fun round.

Was once an inexpensive local public course. It is a great place to play but now is getting very expensive.

...despite the frustrations and mis-strokes that often mar my efforts at Falls Road. But I have played here for years and consider it my home course. It's short, which is fine by me, some of the fairways tilt maddingly, requiring precision placement, and some pin positions are reminiscent of a mini-golf challenge. But I like it. A lot.

As the Montgomery County course most conveniently located to Bethesda, Potomac and the closer in suburbs, Falls Road can be a very busy course on the weekends. The course itself is generally in pretty good shape, and there are a variety of holes that provide for an interesting round to the average golfer. Go during the week if you want to keep your round under 5 hours.

This course is moderately difficult, has always been in good shape when I've played it, and is playable at a reasonable price. Montgomery County municipal courses are very well maintained - you might mistake some for a few private courses.

Falls Road is an adequate public track, but its super convenient location means its always crowded and there is little management for the starter or marshals to help play. It has gotten pricey during prime time for what it is, but I guess like all real estate - location, location.

$59 for a round on a saturday afternoon. lets just put that out there. those of you from other parts of the country might think this is steep for a public course but you have to remember you are in/near DC. The place can be crowded but this was my first time out there. the starters are very aggressive. they want you loaded up a 5-10 minutes before your tee time. which is great. some players seem to think they do not have to load up until their tee time. we had a foursome in front of us ( we were a threesome) so we just slowed our play to not run up on them. had a decent pleasant round and did not feel pressured to move along or slow down any further. the driving range was packed and it is not very big. before you buy your token inside i would have somebody go out and save you a box or get in line.greens were okay, nothing to write home about. it is very hard to get into trouble on this course unless you really hit it way out of bounds. not much water involved and very few woods. there are a couple of holes that have a tree smack dab in the middle of the fairway. at the turn the hot dog lady had a couple of grills going and you could stop and order and enjoy your dog while waiting for the group in front of you to tee off. you can even pull up to the 9th, order your food and go putt out. by the time you get back your food is ready. great hot dog. great cart girl as well. saw her at least twice on each 9 holes.

Great course for busy afternoons or weekends when you can't get to some of the more upscale tracks in MD or VA. The staff are terrific and the location can't be beat if you're in the Potomac area. That said, it's not very long and it's pretty wide open, so it's not the most challenging of the Montgomery County muni courses.

Friends and I play there at least once a week sometimes twice if we have the time. We really like there. We also usualy have lunch there, simple sandwiches, Burger, Hot Dogs etc. Great place to discuss our golf game!!

Good course. Well cared for. Easy to play. Very busy. Lots of slow players, but they have every right to play too.

The course is ok but not spectacular. It is hilly, making it more interesting, and there is a water hole. It can be very crowded on weekends, and many patrons are beginner golfers, meaning the pace of place can be very slow. On the positive side, the staff is helpful and friendly.

I have played it many times. It is agreat muni course, with the limtations that entail. The course is not particularly long, or difficult. It gets crowded at peak times (weekends and evenings after 5) That said, it is in great shape and reasonably priced. It has a very nice snack bar as well. The back nine is especially nice, with it winding through the woods for the middle couple of holes. Yoiu will love the tee boxes and the greens. they are great. It is a good walkable course, but you can use a cart if you wish. Bring your big guns for #15.

Really good golf course for the average player. Not tricky or long, just nice playing links style holes that are not designed to beat you up. Well maintained and priced appropriately. Very convenient location with good food and decent pro shop.

Not very long in stature, but this public facility is in the heart of Potomac and will challenge your game any time you pay it a visit.
