Beautiful, historic buildings and fabulous meal at the Storrowton Tavern. Nice, educational craftsmen displaying woodworking, blacksmith and broom making.

It brings you back in time- the Storrowtown Tavern has some excellent food. You will love the food, atmosphere. During the Big E there is a parade with the Clydesdale horses that are a must. Every night during the Big E is a parade at 5 pm. Storrow Town Tavern all year round does weddings. Christmas parties etc. A great family place or a romantic dinner.

I've been here a few times, it is fascinating to hear the in-character docents talk about life back in the old days. Last time here, I took some colleagues from India here, and they said the school reminded them of village schools they went to.

Recently, I had lunch at Storrowton Tavern on the fairgrounds of The Big E. Very nice. Afterwards, I was surprised to find out that the gift shop in Storrowton Village is open year round. This place is a little hidden gem.Simple, fun stuff in different categories. Historical type decor items, of course, but also scarves, jewelry, small toys - even a talking Lambchop puppet! That brought back memories. Maybe that's what I liked most about the shop...the memories it brought back...like cotton hankies. Hard to find those nowadays.I'll be back now that I know.

Great atmosphere, food is always amazing, I live locally so its a safe spot! It's inside the "Big E Fairgrounds" and has a very Rustic and old school feeling,..but it would not disappoint. Doesn't hurt that its romantic and also good for Business

the atmosphere here is old new england style. Very cozy. The food is just as nice. Please try the chicken pot pie or the pot roast! Deliscious meals that take you back to your childhood!

Take a step back in time at this wonderful museum on the grounds of the Big E. Tour the buildings and learn about life back in the 1800s. Costume docents are knowledgeable. Storrowton Village Museum offers events and activities year round. Some are free, some have a fee. There is even a summer camp for children that sells out every year. Many schools come here for field trips. The gift shop is stocked with unique items sure to please that hard-to-shop-for person on your list. This is a must see when in Western Massachusetts.

A little bit of history in the grounds of the Big E (the place where are the New England states have their state fair at the same time). Buildings and contents gathered from all over New England and moved or restored here. A step back in time with spending the whole day at a larger complex.

You will love wandering around the buildings that have been placed so strategically around a lovely green. The gazebo in the green often offers musical groups and are enjoyed on a nice sunny weekend day; After you're done going through the buildings, top it all off with a wonderful dinner in the Storrowtown Tavern. WONDERFUL!!!!!

Storrowtown Village is a 19th century New England Village. Most of the buildings in the village were actual 19th century New England buildings that have been dismantled, refurnished, and moved to the village. The buildings include 2 farmhouses, a one-room school house, a church, a blacksmith shop, and an attorney's office. The staff dresses up in period costumes and explains what everyday life was like in 19th century New England - complete with demonstrations. For example, at the farmhouse, the staff often holds cooking demonstrations on 19th century cooking. Kids from all over, often take a field trip to the village, and spend a day in the one-room school house to see what it was like to go to school in the 19th century. Overall it is a nice place to visit. It is very interesting and makes history come alive. The staff does a good job, and the village has an authentic 19th-century feel to it.
