Been going here for over 30 years since I was 16 years old. This is a place that was built in 1892 and it still stands today. You can read the whole story on Wikipedia. I like going here because it is a very scenic place abutted by the Reservoir. You see people having picnics here, riding there bikes here and even fishing. In today's society where everything is about social media, high energy rides, and instant gratification this place is a nice change. Give it a try.
