So have some little ones like to see some Christmas lights. The Taunton Green is always a choice. Be careful crossing the street.

Likes:There's a nice place in Taunton to visit during holiday seasons. The best time is probably Christmas and the lighting of the tree. Dislikes:Outside of holidays there's not much to see here. Don't waste your time.

Considering it was the 100th lighting of the Taunton Green, I was disappointed to find that it has gone the way of such political correctness that the music that used to play for all to hear can barely be heard even if you are standing under it. And God forbid that they play and actual Christmas carol and offend someone. Well, I am offended. I grew up here and have watched this beautiful display become just another reflection of how a few people have ruined it into becoming a watered down version of what it was intended to be. Turn the music back up! At least my own child got to enjoy it 20 years ago. We used to ride the green in circles so he could see it all AND listen to the music. Not anymore. It is just a fond memory.
