Very clean hiking trail. There's both a paved and dirt trail leading to the top of the mountain. It's a spectacular view once you reach the top. A great activity for kids of any age.

Love the view, having a picnic and watching the sunset, planted with pretty flower gardens. Relaxing little escape, either by car or a short hike up the trail or the road!

We parked at the bottom of the mountain and walked up It was kind of steep but the views were pretty. I was told you can see down to Holyoke on a clear day. It's not a big mountain there are some trails to go up as well.

The views are spectacular especially if a storm is brewing in the distance. Its easy to get to and only a 20 minute hike or 8 minute drive up the mountain. There is a $2 parking fee should you drive up. Free if you walk up. Flush toilets inside the monument and its clean. Picnic tables available should you care to bring a lunch. Trails run through the woods but I hike the road. The gate does close at a specific time. Not sure what that is. Go and have fun.

Just outside of the funky college towns of Amherst and North Hampton, and down the road from The Yankee Candle Shop,in Deerfield, do stop here, don't miss this View! You can hike up, a bit of a steep hike but invigorating or just take the car($2). At the top are views of the magestic Connecticut River Valley winding it's way through farmland. There's also a tower to climb. The views in full fall color are stunning, but anytime May thru October, beauty at it's best. Go and Enjoy!

Scenic vistas and a great hike (or not! you can drive...) await at this state reservation just around the corner from the beloved Yankee Candle flagship store in Deerfield, MA. If you don't like to hike, you can drive up for $2. It's a great place to have a picnic. There's a tower to climb, pay-binoculars, and beautiful scenic vistas for photographer's at heart. Enjoy!
