the Candlelight tour of the old ordinary gives a good idea of what it is like to survive a New England winter. Tremendous need for wood, the warmth of the kitchen, preserves, pies, hard cider, and hard times. The daylight tours are mostly a spring or summer event - be sure to check the website before showing up!

hard to find this place. and then to find that they aren't open til after noon... was disappointed to be sure..

A great little gem that will fascinate those of all ages. If you have time when in the area you won't be disappointed. It won't take much time out of your schedule and everyone comes away with a refreshed outlook on the past.
