Really recommend this for a visit. There are trails all over the place and the buildings are interesting. Good play ground for kids and lots of fields.

We attended a wedding here. It was the prettiest wedding I have ever attended. It had a New England elegance that captured the natural beauty and classic architecture of the region.

Wow what an experience. As a direct descendant of John Endicott (first governor of Massachusetts) I was excited to visit this historic house owned by an Endicott. While we weren't allowed to tour the house since they were preparing for a wedding but we could tour the grounds an gardens. So beautiful every inch. We spent a long time there soaking it all in. Gigantic historic Beech tree, huge beyond belief. Beautiful place to tour, glad we went so proud of my heritage. Stopped to view Endicott park, an Endicott Gardens in same area.

It's beautiful here, nice to walk around see the gardens, statues etc. Plenty of room for the kids to run around. They do not allow professional type photo shoots here without permission but great place to snap a few pictures. I've been here several times always looks gorgeous, very well maintained. You can park here or at Endicott park and walk over. I did learn yesterday it's not very stroller friendly.

Glen Magna is a beautiful estate owned by the Danvers Historical Society. I love to visit the gardens at different times of year and watch them change with the seasons. The landscaping is designed to form unique garden “rooms.” Some have interesting features like gazebos, fountains, and trellises--I like walking through them all, but the area with the pergola is my favorite! Glen Magna hosts quite a few private events, and the grounds are open to the public (by donation) only when these are not in progress.The estate’s mansion is open to all for occasional ticketed events, and the sprawling lawn in front of it is the scene of several programs sponsored by the Historical Society. The McIntire Tea House (also called the Derby Summer House) is another building on the property. Designed by noted Salem architect and craftsman Samuel McIntire, the House is quite a special place. Old and fragile, it is seldom open to the public, but I once had an opportunity to see its tiny interior. It’s always possible to view the exterior. I stand at a distance from the tall, narrow building and walk around to each side in order to take in all its carvings including those on the roof. In the spring, the Society holds a plant sale with offerings from the gardens. After the official sale ends, the remaining plants are usually sold on the honor system from outdoor tables by the greenhouses. The grounds are in perfect condition whenever I visit. The need for repairs to the buildings including the greenhouses is quite evident (but these seem to proceed slowly as private funding sources are limited). Garden lovers should include a stop at Glen Magna if in the area

As everyone states, this is a beautiful place for a wedding------if the sun shines. Anyone who has a wedding here really would need a wedding planner or coordinator who is visible at all times due to the size of the area, the difficulty for the servers to get the food and beverages to the appointed areas, and the slippery slopes and grass in inclement weather. But if the sun shines, this is one of the most beautiful romantic spots for a wedding!

This is a beautiful location. It is an historic site with wonderful gardens. It is a great place to have a wedding. The home dates back to 1814. The home is not open, but you may stroll around the gardens. The home is available for weddings and other events through Danvers Historical Society which owns this historic house.

Attended a wedding there. Grounds are lovely but building could use some work. Great place for an outdoor wedding.

My husband and I got married here in Aug of 2010! The staff were so professional and a breeze to work with...the grounds...well there are just no words. It was so beautiful and magical and everything we hoped for. Of course we had perfect weather but even the rain plan would of been great to us- that is a great sign you have found the right place! It is worth the $$ and our families and friends are still talking about it. Glen Magna made our special day outside experience as beautiful and special as it was in our hearts!!!

My husband and I were invited to an elegant wedding reception at Glen Magna Farms in Danvers, Massachusetts. We had no idea what to expect. I was completely awestruck by the beauty of the gardens. It could not have been a more perfect place to host a formal wedding. The wedding ceremony took place in the Flower Garden and the bride and groom exchanged their vows while standing in front of the Cushing Pergola. Since the wedding took place in late summer, the pergola (which is covered in enormous wisteria vines) was green and lush. However, the Glen Magna Farms website features pictures of the pergola in the spring when the wisteria is in bloom. It took my breath away! The wedding reception took place under a white tent in the Old Fashioned Garden. The plantings were gorgeous. I think I took more pictures of the landscape than I did the wedding party! The only drawback was the area behind the Flower Garden--the greenhouses. They are in desperate need of repair. However, I don't think many people even noticed them because they were distracted by the other gardens. Since I love greenhouses, I noticed and it saddened me that they were in such disrepair. But other than that, my experience was nothing short of spectacular!
