Wish You Were Beer has two things: beer for sale that you can buy and take home; and beer on tap that you can drink there. The selection of craft beer is amazing - it's the best you will find anywhere in the area. They have an assortment of local, regional, national and international craft brews that aren't sold in typical grocery or liquor stores. They sell beer in singles; both in cans and in bottles. This is great because you can sample different beers, and don't have to buy an entire six or twelve pack. My husband and I love it because you can sit down and enjoy wonderful craft beer without the noisy bar scene. The staff is extremely friendly, and very helpful. The only negative (and it's minor), is that they do close somewhat early on the weekends (10 P.M. on Saturdays), but it's not a bar, so it's not that huge of a deal. I would recommend Wish You Were Beer to any craft beer lover, or anyone who wants to get into craft beer.

Wanted to pick up some local brews after we had visited the US Rocket & Space Center. A little searching brought us to this place where we found quite a selection from all over. And quite a few local beers also.

My boyfriend and I decided to make a visit and see what we could waste sometime on (plus they had Kentucky Bourbon Beer). Wow! The selection is amazing...everything from local to imported around the world. The guy working was helpful for us first timers and we will definitely be going back to refill our growler!

Hubby and I stopped by this evening and enjoyed a glass of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale from the tap room and came home with a six pack of Westbrook Gose (sour, salty & delicious!) as well as a mixed six pack of craft beers.I was very impressed with the selection and glad that so many beers were available for purchase by the single bottle. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The owner was particularly helpful in deciphering a specific beer that my husband had been looking for but had forgotten the name.I enjoyed the clean and casual style of the tap room and the layout made browsing the many available beers a breeze. We will definitely be going back to try out other new-to-us beers. We may even take advantage of the home brewing supplies that are available for purchase and try making our own batch.All in all a very enjoyable experience!
