We attended a wedding at Aldridge Gardens in the summer and it was very nice. The gardens were pretty, we walked around after the wedding. I would very much recommend it for a wedding or other outside occasion.

We've been to Aldridge Garden quite a bit recently to get that "get out of the city" feel. This place is beautiful, free and uncrowded. if you like walking in the woods on nicely manicured grounds and paths then this is a nice retreat. They don't allow dogs or strollers! We love this place, there isn't a playground for kids unless you view getting back to nature a natural playground.

I've been to Aldridge several times, but first visited looking for a wedding venue. Not only is it a gorgeous garden, but the house on the property also houses some interesting art. The lake is beautiful year-round. I had an October wedding there and it really was my perfect dream wedding. This place will always be special to me.

This is a tiny store that sits on a stone cobbled street. The staff is very friendly. The peanuts are roasted in antique roasters and free samples are available.The have both boiled and roasted peanuts. The peanuts are very good. Prices run from $2.50 and up.

We visited Aldridge Gardens last weekend. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. There are several cute sculptures and lots of scenic photo opportunities. The lake has a half mile nature trail surrounding it, so you can get in some exercise while you're enjoying the nature. I'd recommend this location for children as well as adults of all ages.

This place could lower your blood pressure. The walking trail is beautiful and the air is so pure and pleasant. Benches are placed in several areas and are inviting you to sit for a while to read or just relax and look at the lake. Very pleasant visit.

This 30 acre park is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are quite a few walking trails and one even takes you around the lake. Throughout the park are benches for those who want to rest and reflect on the tranquality and beauty of the place. The park is well maintained and contains flowers, trees, and other greenery. There is no admission charge and plenty of parking in front. A gift shop and snack bar are located within the park.

Love to go to the gardens and just walk around the lake, enjoy the flowers, and take lots of pictures. Very well maintained with several spots to be alone and just admire nature. Many times can enjoy the gardens without seeing anyone but usually will meet fellow nature lovers. A great place for solo or family walks.

It's a nice and unexpected park off of Lorna Rd. in Hoover. Good place to take a walk, not so many species of plants to admire. I believe it should look much prettier in spring. Just a few flowers in the summer. However, it's very clean and well taken care of.

Even when you're away from home! I visit family every so often in Birmingham but always try to visit Aldridge. My last visit coincided with an art show being held there which was a plus. Walk the path and you'll find lots of wildlife and don't miss the little gift shop.

I enjoy visiting these gardens and walking around the lake and through the gardens. It is small, so don't expect to spend hours looking at the platings, but it is very well maintained. The whole area is clean, and easily accessible to most. There is a nice variety of planting and they have a covered area where they orient school groups that are visiting. Nif you are looking for a pleasant place to walk for exercise, this is a great choice. It has never been crowded when I've been there and the walk through the woods around the lake is really nice.

Small but beautiful garden...wonderful paths to walk around a pond, picnic area, small gift shop, very tranquil.

Aldridge Botanical Gardens is almost a hidden treasure in the heart of Hoover, AL that not many know about. It has a nice, winding trail that goes about a half-mile or so around a small lake in the center of the property, and has many areas for restful relaxation. There are often events there (check out their website at http://aldridgegardens.com/) and there are a lot of pleasing sculptures, flora and fauna to observe. Overall, it's a wonderful place to visit and unwind.

I love to take pics and this is a good place to do just that! I loved loved loved this place and would love to go back when it's not 95 degrees outside!
