McFarland Park is right on the Tennessee River. It has a beautiful view of the river and the bluff. This is a great place to walk, ride bikes, play Frisbee golf, or just sit and relax. There are many picnic tables or shelters along the river, and there is a campground at the end of the park.

This is a great place to walk, run, cycle---the river is on one side and a wooded area on the other. At the end is a camping area and at the beginning is a beautiful visitor's center manned by very enthusiastic and pro-Florence volunteers.

McFarland Park is one of the major parks of the Quad Cities (Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia, Sheffield) area- be sure to check out Spring Park in Tuscumbia too. McFarland is on the Tennessee River near Downtown and hosts many of Florence's special events. There are good playgrounds, lighted walking trails, a floating restaurant, and a lighthouse. It's a very scenic area and there's even a "beach" here. However, be advised if you want to swim, the Tennessee River is deep, it has a current, and it's not going to be clear like your hotel pool :-)Check out the old railroad walking bridge across the water as well.

Beautiful park. We spent an hour there just walking down the shoreline. Great walking area and the campground looked nice as well.

This water park draws a lot of people. ..but I feel it's because there's not many choices close by. The park is a pretty place and the landscaping is great...but the water...it just doesn't ever seem to be as clear or clean as at other water parks we've visited. I don't know if it's because they need a better system or if it's because it's always full. I decided not to join in with the many people already on the lazy river and simply chose to wander around the park a bit.

Went here to swim based on advice from locals, river was fast lowing and deep, would not recommend, also water was not clear either, rest of park was like any other I'd been to

This is a great park, with a marina and restaurant, a small sand beach, lots of picnic tables scattered throughout, with a few pavilions with fireplaces for large gatherings, and a campground, all on the bank of the Tennessee River. We stayed in the campground 3 nights, the sites are large and paved, with pull-thrus for large rigs. I think all sites have 50 amp service and water and sewer hookups. Some of the sites have large pine trees for shade. I would give the CG 3 stars out of 5, just because of the condition of the women's restroom/shower facilities. They were Dirty! Bars of soap were melting in the soap dishes, the benches had mud you could write your name in, and stuff on the floor. We were there 3 nights, and only on the morning we left (Wed.), did we see anyone there. We will go back, but probably use our own shower from now on. We were in a truck camper. "

Picnic tables, lots of shade, a beach and views of the river make this a great place to spend time. If you bring some local bar b que then it is as close to southern happiness as you can find. Golfers will want to play a round on the park's 18 hole golf course.

The wife and I always enjoy a good afternoon of fishing off the bank when we have time off. The camp grounds are always clean and every body always seems in good spirits. I highly recommend it also if your just coming through the area make sure you check out the new tourism center on the right as you go into McFarland Park.

We absolutely loved camping here! They have a park and its right on the river. There is a small swimming beach. My kids absolutely loved it and its located right on the River with an awesome view. Sites are full hook up, very clean and well kept! We will absolutely camp here again.

The brand new visitor's center is at the entrance to the park, a must stop for guides and maps to the area, very clean picnic tables and restrooms right on the river, always plenty of room for big groups, it is huge!

I have been coming to this park since I was a little girl. I love the trees here and the location by the Might Tennessee River. They have playground equipment for kiddos and picnic tables for families. I really like it here. I like the towering bluffs on the other side of the river too.

We love to walk for exercise and just sit and picnic enjoying the view. The campground is always our first choice however it does need improvements such as wifi and cable tv. They also need to add more spots as it is completely full at times. They need to utilize land right on river for premium rv sites.
