Great boudin and boudin balls! We now make this a stop every time we come through Louisiana. We bought the stuffed chicken and I bet its going to be equally as good.

While traveling from Mississippi to Houston,we hurriedly attempted to make effort to get to store before 8pm to purchase stuffed chickens fur my Xmas dinner; as we were 15 miles away,I called to ask if they would be gracious enough to stay open until we arrive. She explained that they closed at 8pm. When we were 5 miles away, I called again, told our location and explained how important it was and what it would mean so much. I promised my son who was returning home from school for xmas break, that he would have his favorite stuffed hen. When traveling by car to visit family,I has always been a tradition both coming and going to stop at this store and load up on goodies. When I explained, we would be arriving at 801, the lady sighed (which was rude) didn't respond immediately because it was obvious she was not happy with me calling back and said in an ugly tone that the answer was no and that she did not stay open after 8pm. We proceeded to the mom n pop establishment at 801pm, to a dark store, empty parking lot. I would like to think that since store receives tons of visits from travelers all over, the season of year, that a request to stay open until I arrived to make a special purchase should have warranted. But hey, ago am I. Just a customer that recommends to anyone I know going that way to stop at exit 97 to get the best smoked boudain cracklins, stuffed chickens, etc., that they could ever taste. Well wait until I tell them about this! maybe the place across the interstate would be more accommodating!

The boudin and cracklins are the best. Stuffed meats are also a great gift idea and a great supper. Pricing is fair could still be a little less costly. Other than that very good!

Lots to choose from and the food is great. You can't go to this area without stopping here you won't regret it. And they ship if you live to far away to return for more.

Heard about Best Stop for years, and recently had occasion to try their cracklins' for the first time. Simply outstanding! Great to snack on while motoring down the highway, or while sitting in front of the TV on game-day. Some come out crunchy and some are more chewy and the flavor is simply delicious! If you think you know what good cracklins are about, you haven't tried BS. Take a break and make the brief stop.

This place is near the intersection of Hwy 90 and I-10. Don's Specialty Meat's and Billy's Boudin are near the same intersection. Of the three, Best Stop has the best cracklins. They are meaty and crispy without being too hard. The boudin balls here weren't that great though. For better boudin balls go to Billy's.

We had read some great reviews about this place and so decided to make a detour here on our way from Opelousas to Lafayette. So glad we came here - the boudin and cracklins were amazing! I just wish we could go back!

Best boudin and boudin balls I have ever had !! Busy, but service is very fast, they have enough workers for the amount of customers. I go at least once a week !!

We live in Oregon but are from south Louisiana and make a trip by motorhome at least once every year or so. Each trip must include filling (and I mean filling) the freezer and refrigerator with boudin, boudin balls, and andouille. Plus we have to buy whatever our relatives we're going to visit want us to get. They have great stuffed boneless chicken, cracklins, stuffed pork chops, and it's all GREAT! Shopping and deciding what to get is half the fun, but what's just as fun is chatting with the staff who are all helpful and super friendly. What's not fun is having to ration our purchases when we get home. It never comes close to lasting until our next trip, but talk about good!

I was driving to Crowley monday and realized I would be passing close to Best Stop. I had never been but always heard how great their stuff is. The smell of cracklins and boudin hits you as soon as you get out of your car. I just looked around because I wasnt going to buy anything til friday as my freezer is full right now , but one of their employees gave me a bag with a boudin ball and a cracklin in it just so I could sample while I was there. They were awesome and I then decided to buy something so I bought a bag of beef jerky which was the best Ive ever had. They also have things like duck breasts stuffed with cream cheese and jalapenos then wrapped with bacon........I'll be back there friday !

On a whim, we decided to stop here. It was easy on/easy off IH10. I gave the Boudin Balls a quick try, then loaded up on some goodies. We visited on a Sunday early afternoon, and only had a few other visitors in the shop with us. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. In the future, I will not drive through without stopping here. You shouldn't either!

Absolutely THE BEST stuffed pork chops ever! Every time I come here, I have to bring an ice chest with me to bring back orders for friends. The variety of meats are endless - stuffed pork chops, quail, rabbit, boudin, you name it. Be sure to get a small bag of cracklins while you are there. I'd tell you to get a large, but they are so good, you will end up eating the entire bag and have a cholesterol reading through the roof! The boudin balls are great too.The staff there are super friendly and helpful. Easy access off I-10 at the Cankton/Scott exit.

The woman waiting in ine in front of me would not let me leave without getting the stuffed pork-chops, smoked boudin, mixed boudin (spicy Cajun sausage with rice and pork filling), pork tasso and boudin balls. They sell dry ice, buy it and buy whatever the locals or your eyes tell you. Beyond good.

We used to live in Louisiana and now live in Houston so every time we travel over to LA we always stop at Best Stop for meat to bring home. Our favorite would have to be the stuffed chicked breast with cheese and spinach. It is large enough for the two of us to split. I also recommend the filet mignon, stuffed bell peppers, stuffed pork chops and the boudin. All the meat is seasoned so all you need to do is cook it! Also get some of their cracklin..it is seasoned perfectly and always still warm. The staff is extremely friendly and will answer any questions that you might have on cooking any of their products. The line can get kind of long if you are in there after lunch time but it does move very quickly.

We stopped here as recommended by someone in a forum, on here. We are from the UK and had no idea what we were doing except that we wanted some boudin. Both the staff and other customers were bemused by our accents but we had a good laugh with them all whilst we ordered some boudin, smoked boudin and crackling. Along with a cooking instruction! We bought some boudin balls to eat straight away as we were starving. The boudin (all types) was amazing, and possibly one of the best things we have eaten, ever. Really enjoyed it, and we are going back today for some, which isn't bad as we only have 3 days in the area, and we are choosing this over eating out! Mmmmmmm indeed.
