Attended a opening reception here for a conference, loved it, very unique, weather permitting and they had a decent comedian!

I just adore this place! From interactive productions involving the audience and dressing up, to serious, first class off Broadway productions as Chicago. Small town theatre in size with a great big heart and actors/actresses! Includes a children's theatre group Tucked, away minutes, from New Orleans proper along the Mississippi River in Kenner. Restaurants with in walking distance. Street or lot parking depends upon crowd size. .

The Rivertown Theaters were recently revamped and reopened under new management. Even though they're 10 minutes from our house, we had never been to any of their shows. Last week we decided to take in a performance of "Spamalot". What a great experience! We expected the material to be funny, of course, but we didn't expect the cast to be as talented as they are. It was one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had in a long time. These performers are top notch! The theater is small and intimate, parking is free, and the cost is reasonable. I'm a season ticket holder to the Broadway Across New Orleans series, but it was wonderful not having to fight downtown traffic to get to this theater. I can't wait to see their upcoming shows, "Harvey" and "Young Frankenstein"!If you're in the metro-New Orleans area, I encourage you to check out one of the shows at the Rivertown Theaters. You won't be sorry.
