TERRIBLE! Not what website says, and the website picture is incorrect. Don't waste your time here, murky "lake"

I decided this looked like a fun way to spend the day with my 2 sons, one is 11yr 6ft 250lbs my other son is 13yr 6ft 120lbs. Both of my boys were so excited when we got there I was charged full price for my 11yr old and that was ok but he was not able to do any of the inflatables. You have to have a lot of upper body strength and up until we went here I thought we were all in decent shape but after fighting to get my youngest on the inflatables for 20 minutes we finally left. My son was in tears! The girl at the front asked why we were leaving and when I told her she informed me other fat people have no problems. Thank you so much for calling my son fat to my face. And he did hear her say this and cried almost all the way home. Do NOT waste your money at this place!!!

This place could be nice, but I took my grand children last year and the water was dyed Opaque Blue. I was in fear that some one would go missing the whole time. The grounds are nice and the concept is good, but the murky water is bad.

I had a girls day with my mom and sister. This was our first time at Cajun Lagoon and we were not disappointed! I was a little skeptical upon arriving, but I had a delightful time. I did not wear a life vest because I am overage and a competent swimmer (any person under 18 must wear one), however, I STRONGLY suggest any adult to rent one if they are unsure. The water gets very deep. Lifeguards were around everywhere and constantly following youngsters and adults alike. They were very helpful. Everything was just great fun. My only real complaint is that the inflatables are actually very hard to navigate. If you fall off, you must have good upper body strength to pull yourself back up or wait for a lifeguard to help you up. I had no problem, but my sister and many other adults could not get up by themselves. The climbing mechanisms on the slides were a serious disappointment to me. The handles themselves were slippery and the place to put your feet was uncomfortable with long toes or long toe nails. Quite a few people would fall on the way up as I did myself a couple of times. I actually had someone fall on top of me and send me flying off the inflatable, but we were both laughing afterwards. Other than these small complaints, the park was very fun and entertaining. I again just caution parents to keep FIRM lookouts on their children and adults to consider life jackets. Definitely worth the money!!

There were many safety issues with this park. From the murky water, the floatables moving around, and the lifeguards more interested in talking amongst themselves than my child screaming for help. Not to mention the fact that the water is over 15 feet deep and they require a life vest on age not ability. Wow! The truly sad part is the owners were bullies to anyone who truly expressed concern about these issues. A train wreck. I was so saddened by the drowning but not surprised. The owners showed genuine concern and sadness, yet still did not want to address any issues of negligence.

We found this gem of a day trip last summer and thought I would share it. We took children from ages 12 through 5 and all of them had a blast. Very well run and safe. The adults had a blast as well. Can't wait for it to open this year.
