Lovely little historic downtown with lots of antique shops, restaurants and cafes with music to enjoy time with friends or solo. The riverfront is lovely for a paddle or just to relax and enjoy the view.

We browsed for several hours, and I don't think we saw everything there was to see. We're not hard core antiquers but enjoyed our stroll through the past. We plan to return in the future to make some purchases. They have a huge assortment of treasures laid out in a grid that is easy to navigate.

Carl, the owner, keeps watch over his, his mother's, & other vendors treasures in a building perfect for antiques. You almost feel you've gone back in time when you walk in the door. There is always something there to grab your attention. Lorelei (Carl's sister) also has her handsome hand-made horse hair bracelets & key chains on display for purchase - very special, & not just for horse lovers. It's not really a "mall", but a quaint antique store for sure. We've been before, & we'll certainly go again!

The antiques are nice and town is very cute. Leave the children at home, some spots are tight in the stores.

Our 1st trip to Breaux Bridge Antique Mall (not really a "mall", but a shop) & we really enjoyed ourselves looking @ the many mostly regional antiques! Owner Karl Voohries is very knowledgeable & helpful, & takes the time to talk to his customers when they need help. Karl is also in 2 local bands, & knows his music & musical instruments as well. I added 2 salt cellars to my collection - I'd never seen these anywhere before. We'll certainly be back! We stayed @ Karl's parents bed & breakfast Bois Des Chenes in Lafayette, just west of Breaux Bridge. It was quaint & charming, also with antique Cajun décor. His parents made us feel welcome & @ home. His mother cooks a very tasty French toast breakfast, along with pure cane syrup & pecans, pork sausage patties, & fresh fruit, juices, & New Orleans-style coffee. Upstairs carriage house was comfortable & spacious! We'll be back here, too, as well! Karl's brother Kim owns & runs The Atchafalaya Experience swamp tours, with their father. We plan on doing that next time, as time did not permit this trip! Already planning our next trip back here!
