The atmosphere is really nice, super casual. If you are at the bar, you'll sit on varnished saw horses. They often have live music. There is one part that is open air in good weather. There is food available and I'm sure it's good, but I have never tried it. I really enjoy the beer there. I try and bring some growlers so I can take some back to the motel, or wherever I'm staying, and even brought some home to Richmond. The beer prices are very reasonable and they offer a good selection, all brewed on site. It's a great addition to Tucker Co.

We stumbled on this by accident. Saturday afternoon...live music....great flights of beer....great hot pretzels....and the prices were very affordable. I thought the place was a great place to hang out and have a few beers and listen to good music. I'd go back for sure!

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend trip to Blackwater Falls. This was our first time there and the staff did not mention that the restaurants in Davis and Thomas all close by 9. We were extremely hungry and this place was open, according to Google. It certainly did not look open at all and there were 2 cars in the parking lot. (We went on a Saturday night.) The place had a nice "mountainy" feel to it and we were greeted by the bartender and waitress when we came in. The restaurant area was closed off for the evening, even though there is supposedly food served late and karaoke on Saturdays. (We got here at 9:30- there were 3 people at the bar and no karaoke.) My husband got one of their specialty beers, which he said was alright. We were given a menu, which consisted of a few appetizers and "melts" aka fancy grilled cheeses. The sandwiches sounded good and I had high hopes. The menu really talked it up with homemade bread, "grass-fed" pork (which I did not know that pigs ate grass...), organic vegetables, etc. These sandwiches were way below average and I could have made it 10x better in my own kitchen. Barely any flavor and it wasn't even fully cooked. It's a grilled cheese!!! To top it off, it was way over-priced- $10 for grilled cheese sandwich. Ridiculous. I'm most dissatisfied with the price, how awesome the menu made things sound, and the pictures I saw on Yelp- they don't even have pizza or bruschetta!! We will not be going back.

I love this place! The beer is great, the people are wonderful, and you never know what character will come through the door. We had a blast. They do serve food but it is separate from the bar and is cash only. They don't have a huge menu but what they have is really good. If you are in the area, definitely stop by!

Good beer selection, solid value, attentive and friendly staff, absolutely beautiful space, and community-minded business that frequently provides beer to local events, non-profits, etc. Definitely the place to be when they host occasional music, potlucks, and other events.

We had a grand time drinking beer here and taking in the West Virginia bar vibe. It's not obvious from the road but well worth a stop for a delicious draught!
