Seemed like a well kept location, you can tell its older but was kept very well! The mountain look was closed during this time of year which was disappointing.

We hiked up to the mountain ridge to see the full moon. It was cold, but lovely. I hear in the summer you can drive up to the top.

This park offers alot to do if you enjoy the outdoors. Trails galore, fishing, boating, nice picnic areas with grills. Swimming. It has it all but yet its quiet, serene and very relaxing.

We stayed here as part of a package with the resort & the state park spa. The lodge rooms are small but nice. We had a lovely view of the golf course. The bathrooms in the rooms are very small but they do the job. We took a short hike on the ridge trail & it had some great views. We are planning to comeback with the kids and stay in a cabin- seems like there would be a lot of fun things to do in the summer.

But turned out not to be a mistake. This place was beautiful and very clean. The place was busy and many families were having a great time. We look forward to going back in the spring and summer

Country style cooking on average. It's an old lodge restaurant that has seen its' day. Eventually they plan to remodel from what I understand and it is in need.

We have been to Cacapon State Park twice. Once in the spring and then again in the fall. There is so much to do there. I want to tell my daughter to bring my grandsons back camping. There are great cabins to rent. Basketball courts, play ground, a nice little beach by a lake, a nice drive to a scenic overlook. I haven't tried the restaurant...but next time I will.

This is a great hiking park, as well as golfing. The restaurant was wonderful. The staff is very friendly, and the ambiance of the lodge is really worth the trip.

Close to Berkeley Springs. The park also has a restaurant and lodging. We spent a few hours there and drove up the dirt road to the view point. This is worth a visit. There was no entry fee.

Enjoyed a good two mile hike here (Laurel). Kids had a lot of fun on and off the paths, which were clearly marked. Very nice views and well tended paths. No entrance fee. Very pretty area, especially in the fall.

We chose the Ziler trail for our hike and enjoyed it very much; although, it is a very rough trail. There were some steep ups and downs and a lot of rocks to contend with, but it was worth it. The trail system is well marked and I think any of the trails would be worth hiking. We did not stay in the park as there are a lot of nice choices in the Berkeley Springs area.

Visit Cacapon a couple times a year for golf and relaxing in either the lodge or cabins. Accommodations are a little rustic but quite comfortable. Staff is friendly and do a good job. The lodge restaurant is good. The golf course is a favorite.

Several trails to chose from for various levels of exercise. From basic trails to more vertical climbs... but nothing to hard.

Modest rooms but an incredible Robert Trent Jones golf course that is well maintained. Many challenges and deer are visible at every turn. The views will take your breath away. Some good eateries just 10 minutes from the park in Berkeley Springs.Only a short 2.5 hour drive from York,Pa.

If you're looking for a pleasant weekend (or longer) getaway within a short (2- to 2.5-hour) drive of the D.C. and Baltimore metropoli, head west on I-70, turn south at Hancock, Md., and enjoy Berkeley Springs and Cacapon Resort State Park. The park has a modern lodge, fully-appointed, pet-friendly "cabins" (really, spacious homes where cooking and entertaining are possible), and lots to do: Golf on a truly wonderful course, swim at the small lake, hike or go horseback riding, or shoot some skeet. And shopping at the antique and craft shops in Berkeley Springs is a nice option on a rainy day. There's comfort food at the lodge dining room if you don't want to cook, and a few good options in Berkeley Springs (offbeat favorite: Earthdog Café). Go especially in the Fall, when the foliage on the mountains is ablaze.
