Do. This. One of the best floats in America. Take four days Coals Banks to Judith Landing or add in another 4 days and run all the way to Kipps Landing. Incredible. Read .Undaunted Courage' By Stepehen Ambroise and take this float. I have done it 4 times in the last 10 years and I would do it again. You will not be disappointed. Far from it. Superb.

The Breaks were pristine and beautiful. Wildlife was plentiful and the river majestic. Staying on the river is necessary as the Breaks take about six days although you have the option of leaving half way. Use an outfitter to move your vehicle and it will be waiting for you at the other end.

Has to go by the Missouri River to really appreciate them. Was not aware of their existence until I go there.

The white cliffs are pretty cool to see while on a canoe

This part of the Missouri River gorge is a great picture: I dream of a catered dinner shore-side!!

Historian Stephen Ambrose wanted the White Cliffs of the Missouri to be made a national park, and it's easy to see why. This incredible stretch of the Missouri River has been designated "Wild and Scenic," and a boat or canoe ride takes you through miles of incredible rock formations, worn down by time into fantastical shapes that resembles ancient fortresses, Roman columns, and towering rock walls. But it's hard to imagine the transformation to the land that a national park would bring, because as it stands the White Cliffs are one of the most remote and inaccessible areas in the lower 48 states. It's well worth seeking out an outfitter to help you take to the river and see this incredible natural wonder. The day we went (with Missouri River Canoe Company), we had an amazing day and the river practically to ourselves. So quiet that you could hear the beating of the birds' wings overhead. This is one of the few areas that still appears exactly as Lewis & Clark saw it in 1805. Take a day or a week and see the White Cliffs.
