second trip with them and even better than the first. thanks for changing the route. It is so much better with the Yellowstone afded in.

This was our second trip down the river with this company and both times have been a blast. Can't think of a better summer fun activity for a family. As has been said, this is a small family business and the guides know the river and exactly what they are doing. That being said we went both times in July and though the river is not that high or treacherous, there are a few places even an experienced rafter could have real problems.With these guides it is exciting enough for most and very safe. The Stillwater is an extremely clean river with no signs of pollution. Can't wait to do this trip again.

Matt Holtz and the entire crew at Absaroka River Adventures are the best! Our family first floated the river with them about 5 years ago. We have gone back at least twice each year since and always bring friends with us. It is so much fun! They make sure everybody is safe, the equipment is top notch and they know the river better than anybody in the business. In fact, each year, the staff floats the river for a couple of weeks to see if there's any changes. They have wet suits if you want to float early in the season when the water is high and fast (recommended) but the whole float season is awesome! There's a spot where we always pull over and jump off a cliff into the river ... super fun! If you want to float the Stillwater, Rosebud, Yellowstone ... call Absaroka. They know what's up!

Last Saturday my wife, our 4 daughters and or grandson took a float trip on the lower Stillwater River. Our guide was Tim. As has been the case on the previous trips we have taken with this company we had a great time. The weather was great and Tim is a very entertaining guide. We will definitely take a float with these guys again.

I visited this outfitter with my 9 year old daughter for an all day whitewater trip in June 2011. We paddled 2 sections of the Stillwater River. I myself am a whitewater kayaker and raft guide.Many outfitters are large operations pushing people on and off the river as fast and efficiently as possible. This is not a large outfitter - it is a small family-run business where the owner is likely to be your guide. Wetsuits, booties, and splash jackets are provided when the water temps are cold. I picked this outfitters since they are the only one that runs the Upper Stillwater, a more technical raft run.In between river sections, we returned to their outpost and they held a cookout and allowed us to warm up (the water is cold this time of year). The owner was great with kids. Overall - friendly, helpful, excellent trip, kid friendly. Highly recommended.
