Very interesting building made to look like a goose. My grand mother used to take us there when we were kids. Always make sure we stop by when we visit Hazard.

We have been by the Goose many times in our lives. It is always just as interesting to look at, each and every time we pass by, as it was the first time.

Imagine my surprise as I was driving down the road, and just happened upon a large goose sitting atop of a house. Further inspection revealed that this goose had been fabricated by some type of genius architect, and that it was not a radioactive monster at all. It is actually really fascinating how he made it. He used a goose as his blueprint, and the ribs of the goose are how he figured his support beams should go. If you call ahead you can get a little tour. This is such an irreverent, unique attraction, it was actually one of my favorite parts of Hazard. It's a giant goose that was built on top of a house. I wish there were more architects of his caliber roaming the streets these days.

The Mother Goose building in Hazard is a monument that should remind us of George Stacy's imagination and creative genius. Stacy started working on the house in 1935. It was completed in 1940. ----- Worth a drive by if you are in the area. Very different.
