The town is very small in the middle of no where but this show was very well put together with great talent. Parking was the worst part. There were no lights in the back of the building and the parking lines were very dim. We could not tell where to park. Lots of people seemed confused and driving around. You pick up your tickets outside and them walk in the entrance. The ladies bathroom is to the left and the gents is to the right. Directly in front of you is the concessions. The entrances are now on the left and right. There are seats in the middle and to the left of the left aisle and seats to the right of the right aisle. The stage is up two to three feet across the front. The best part of the show was before intermission. The second part was not as good. They also do a sales pitch for missionary work at the end that kind of ruins the show for you. I am glad that some of the money that they get goes for this but I wish they had not ended with this. During intermission you can get concessions but it takes a long time because they was only two people running it. There was a long wait also for the ladies bathroom. They talent was truly amazing and the price you pay is very reasonable for the pleasurable evening.

Went to see The Big Band Christmas Show December 7, 2014. Last year we saw two other musicals that were also very good. After each show the actors/musicians stand at the exit door, shake your hand, and thank you for coming. Southern Kentucky hospitality at its best. I have never experienced an actor/musician thanking me for attending their show. It makes the event even more special! After the show we walked through Patti's Christmas lighted area which is composed of thousands of Christmas lights and Christmas scenes (some fun ones and some more religious) a nice mixture. If you can't get in the mood for Christmas here than you must be Scrooge! After the 2 p.m. musical play we enjoyed a delicious meal at Patti's with the famous flowerpot bread and strawberry butter. We had reservations for dinner which is a good idea during this time of day and during this season.

I have seen 10 separate Badgett shows and felt all were EXCELLENT. Favorite for best presentation of their talents is the Variety Show, but my favorite of all is The Fifties Show as that is my music.I've become an old Badgett groupie and will continue to attend many shows in the 2015 season

Very talented cast in a wonderful little town. Ten performers, consisting of a five man band and five singers/dancers. My favorite song was the "Cup" song. If you have seen "Pitch Perfect", you will recognize a conceptual similarity in this show. Super cool! Just as the show's name suggests, this show consists of a wide variety of musical sounds from gospel to country, with a little bit of Elvis! Loved the show today! Can't wait to see more.

Back the second year to see Civil War Letters a educational and entertaining performance based upon actual letters written during the Civil War. A must see for historical buffs.

I know this place very well because I work there. But during our get away weekend we went to see The Civil War Letters. It's different from the other shows they put on. There is not a lot of sings and dancing but I believe its my favorite show. The letters are so heartfelt and sad. Some are funny without meaning to be. Who couldn't love a show where they sing Eating Gubber Peas. If you visit Grand Rivers KY you have to see a show at the Badgett Playhouse.

Have seen 3-4 shows here and all productions have been very good. Liked the ones with singing better than the tuna series.

Talented, versatile singers and dancers. Pick the show(s) that are specific to your taste in music and era.

I saw the 70's variety show, and it was great. Really talented performers and a great orchestra in fast paced program, all in a comfortable theater. It was great entertainment from a time period I'm nostalgic about. Sit toward the front of the auditorium, and you'll feel like you're nearly on the stage with the performers. When was the last time you went to a theater that actually had wide chairs with individual armrests, and enough space between rows that you could easily cross your legs? The Badgett Playhouse has them, and it greatly enhances your theater experience.Check the schedule for when you're going to be there. There are multiple shows to pick from, on multiple days. See at least one while you're in town. You'll leave humming a tune with a smile on your face.

We totally enjoyed the 50's show at the playhouse. We will definitely go back for some of the other shows. Wonderful, friendly people all over town. The cast did a fantastic job . . . wonderful voices.

We have seen at least three different shows, the last one was "picking & a grinning", a take off from the old Hee-Haw shows. It was delightful and very entertaining. There was a lot of energy and talent in the show. The other shows were "The 60's" and the " Southern Gospel". Both shows were outstanding, as good as any Branson, Mo. shows.

This Branson-style family show is really professional done. NO matter what your taste , you will find a show for you. Located in Grand Rivers, Ky. In the Land- Between- the Lakes area, it has a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this show.

While on our trip to Grand Rivers this year we were able to attend two shows at the Badgett Playhouse - a matinee and an evening performance. The shows were exceptional in that all the performers were multi-talented. A live band accompanied each performance and some of the band members sang as well as accompanied and even acted in the shows. One show - Music of the 50's was a high energy musical featuring all the well-loved songs of the time and the actors connected them with an appropriate story line. The other show - Sweethearts of Country Music was loosely based on how Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette may have been discovered in Nashville, although the three country girls met as they traveled to Nashville by bus and became a trio as they auditioned. It was amazing to find such professional talent in such a rural area. A must see!!!!

This is a wonderful place to go for great family entertainment. We saw The 50's show on Friday night ,Sweethearts of Country Music at 2PM on Saturday , and returned for The 60's show at 7pm.This is a family owned business that takes great pains to put on a good show. The singers all have talent and enjoy what they are doing. The show antics keep you involved from start to finish. Shows are over 2 hours long, (show has an intermission)but you do not realize it as the show is very fast paced. If you've never been, you owe it to yourself to go enjoy this gem of a playhouse. Well worth your time and money. You will not be disappointed. Very nice and clean building, restrooms and grounds.
