Hope street has really transformed over the years into a beautiful social gathering strip. There are many quaint shops that you can find unique items and restaurants ranging from pizza and sandwiches to Italian and seafood. It is a great street to walk along as the sun is setting because you can watch it pass behind the historic buildings and disappear into the water. A great place to spend the afternoon.

Love to stroll around Bristol ( mini-Newport, RI without the crowds)Cute shops, restaurants, and a famous 4th of July parade.

I was impressed with this well maintained 'high street' and although there are probably more food establishments than anything else, I was pleased that even the usual garishness of a Dunkin' Donuts oulet was low key on Hope Street! Although it is the main road and, apart from pedestrian crossings there is no need to stop, I would recommend parking, for free!, and visiting some of the historic buildings, shops and restaurants that line this road.

There are about four or five shops at most, the rest of real estate agents and coffee shops. Nothing I haven't seen anywhere else.

I spent a Sunday mid day walking the streets of Bristol. The homes and buildings are with character, quaint and well kept. Many were not retail spaces but most are business; relaters, banking etc. I didn't see much of anything exciting to purchase and was a little disappointed since some reviews raved of the shops I was expecting more. Otherwise a very nice relaxing walk around town.

Hope St is a nice view of a typical small New England town. Lots of small shops and it is the main route for the July 4th parade. Stroll down this street, don't drive.

Hope Street is a comfortable and quaint as one could ever anticipate in a ideal New England Town. We enjoyed every shop, the people watching and particularly historic St. Michael's Church.

Hope Street in Bristol is a perfect little slice of classic New England. Bristol is a cool seaside town and Hope Street is the heart of it all. The famous 4th of July parade goes right down the street and it is painted with red, white, and blue stripes instead of the usual, boring yellow stripes. Bristol has a lot of cute shops to wander through or you can just spend your time relaxing along the water taking in the beautiful views.

Hope Street in Bristol, RI, has much to offer. From shopping in small shops carrying a wealth of priceless opportunities, to watching the oldest 4th of July Parade in America. There are restaurants and shops galore! The parade marches right down the middle of Hope Street. The Christmas Season offers the chance to see how New England celebrates that Holiday season!

Do you like to take a walk in a place that has curb appeal? Bristol is a wonderful seaside town with rich history. Stop and grab a cup of coffee or an ice cream cone and enjoy the scenery. There are shops, beautiful homes, and a wonderful view of the harbor. You can stay at the Bristol Harbor Inn, have breakfast at the Bee Hive and then take an afternoon walking tour. Contact Rogers Free Library or the visitors center located on Hope Street next to Paper Packaging and Panache. If you are a movie buff you may have known actor Anthony Quinn.....he was a resident in Bristol until his death. Richard Gere filmed a movie in Bristol called Hachiko, A Dog's Story a few years back. It's a great place to visit! Bristol is also a 20 minute ride to Newport, RI.

Hope street has some wonderful shops and restaurants to explore. The sides streets as well are lovely. Try the. Beehive Cafe, it is our favorite.
