A must see place! Views from the mountain range coming into the area give absolutely gorgeous pictures, especially during the leaf peeping season.

Great scenery - beautiful clean water. Wished I'd had a boat - but walking around the shore was so peaceful.

A beautiful lake with a beautiful view in Maine in the Rangely area. Went here for the view. especially in the fall. Such a breath taking spot. We went in October. the colors and view were amazing.

Drive North on Route 4 till you can only drive into the lake. No swimming there. It is privately owned. We saw one of the Tour Planes fly over.

We visited Mooselook at the end of our stay, so we didn't get to experience alot of it. We did, though, canoe to some of the campgrounds that are run by the Stephen Phillips Preserve and will be making a reservation for next year. The lake is huge and the amount of development is small relative to the size. At some of the campsites you can't see signs of anyone or anything in any direction. If you want to get away from it all, this would be the place to do it.

Beautiful, peaceful lake, with scattered resorts and vacation homes. Views of New Hampshire's White Mountains in the distance.

Magnificent glacial lake, must visit if in the area. It is surrounded by natural beauty and great camps to spend some time in.

We really enjoyed staying at a lake that wasn't completely developed. We were around other private homes in a really quiet area, but directly across the lake was just wilderness. I loved hearing the loons at night and watching the other wildlife.

Although it's not easy to access, the view from 'Height of Land' reveals a glacial, pristine water body that's a throw back to another era. Mostly lined with coveted private homes, there's a boat landing at the end of RT 4/16 at Haine's Landing that allows for memorable trout and land-locked salmon fishing. Get a realtor for rentals or stay at the Steven Phillips Memorial Camp site. Unforgettable.

Spectacularly beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Fishing is excellent and the woods - those deep dark, mysterious Maine woods - beckon!

The road to Rangeley is full of beautiful fall colors but the view explodes once you get to Mooselookmeguntic Lake. I din't do anything on the lakes, but took in the views from the overlooks of Mooseloomeguntic and Rangeley lakes. This part of the drive made it all worth while.

This area is just breathtaking. We spent a week many years ago camping in the area. We had a wonderful time and saw a lot of wildlife especially moose.

I love to send people here...the whole world drops off at your feet with the spectacular view! Now that they've fixed the road there, it's a lot more accesible & safe to stop.

We were fortunate enough to cabin on the lake over Thanksgiving Week...and what a beautiful weather week we had. We were able to go on several short canoe outings despite the chill in the air. Having little ones with me, I opted to stay fairly close to the shore. The water was smooth and crystal clear and the tranquility akin to a shot from a movie as we were truly the only ones that we could see for miles around. The mountains rose around us and I was taken back to those times which our predecessors must have experienced on a daily basis.

roadways leading to and around rangley lakes were all paved recently and the outlook for mooselookmeguntic was all reconstructed nicely.
