First thing is that GPS does not track the Casino Drive address that this casino has on their website. The alternate address, that GPS will track is: 123 Main St., Oxford, ME. This address will take you directly to the casino. Took a bit to find this, so thought that I would share. Upon arrival, we really did not think we would like this casino as much as we did. It is small and easy to navigate. Very clean with lots of new and updated slot machines and some tables. They have nice new poker machines at their good sized bar (drinks are not comp tho). The restaurant looks pretty nice (tho we did not eat there). There is no valet parking, but plenty of parking with not a very long walk into the casino. The casino is now operated by Churchill Downs and I hear there are plans for a hotel across the street. I enjoyed my time there and will return.

I thought this would be a bigger casino but it was pretty small and not worth driving across state lines to visit. There's no lodging option and the closest thing was a motel/ lodge. Dining options are poor and the inside was barely 2 rooms. There are table games and mostly slots. I wasn't impressed but had to kill my curiosity. Don't think I'll be returning unless I move to the area cause that'll probably be the only attraction around.

Vacationing in New Hampshire, my boyfriend and I got an itch for a casino. Oxford seemed charming. You have to know where you are going, there is little to none for directions thank goodness for GPS. We stopped by for a couple of hours to play. One goes to a casino knowing they are going to lose some money. My boyfriend and I have visited several and we have won some/lost some but one of us has always had a nice hit ($80 or more) at least once in a hour - at this casino the most either one of us won on any one spin on slots was $20.00 and that was after an hour. Chatting up the other people playing no one was having any luck. The place was clean and new, the workers smiled but were not really engaging. It looked great but did not feel inviting.

OK so my title is a little Tough, But I want it to be read and hopefully thought about by any management in the future. OK here goes. Pro's,- 1.Clean, 2,Polite crew, 3, Good food. 4 Table games, "but" Con's , We Come to Gamble, and are not afraid to lose or win big., 1, The bean counters have no confidence* in the hold percentages of the table games. (they cancel games they once in a while have bad days with.) (Like let it Ride) 2,to many penny machines,( all the machines are really tight* approx 4.5-12.5% maybe more.) 3, it is hard to get a real drink, (not enough staff) and they actually over charge for drinks. 4, No Poker, ( it seems to be below their dignity) 5, No Ponies, 6, Player cards don't always register. 7,No real local dependable places to spend the night. My wife and I felt like we were in a polished sawdust joint, we sometimes felt hustled, not entertained. 8, No place for a quiet drink or dinner. That all being said, They Know they are the only game for miles and miles, So why should the bean counters not take advantage and play it safe. sincerely Tom

Having been to Vegas several times I was expecting Oxford to be a run down casino. I'm glad to say I was wrong. The Oxford is clean and well run. Even though I did not win (we left a decent "contribution"), I'd go back if ever in Oxford again. The employees are friendly and helpful. We did not eat there, so I cannot comment on the food. But I find casino buffets generally uneventful, if not disappointing.

My husband and I went to the buffett tonight 2/14/15 for valentines dinner. We arrived at 4:30 only to be told that unless we had reservations we could not be served until 7:30 pm. There was no post on the dinner menu about reservations that I found. Plus we have been there before for the Seafood Buffett and we did not have this issue. We have been to all of the top Buffets in Vegas and have never had this issue. If it was a way for us to spend 3 hrs gambling then think again. Buffett's do not usually have reservations it is first come first serve. The whole situation sucked. Good luck on your future dinners, our friends will know how you work. And we know plenty.

my friend and I both received the monthly flier promising free play on certain days just spin the wheel at the kiosk and win anywhere from 10 to a thousand dollars. The kiosk offer did not happen for us or many others. We were told at the service desk the owners of the casino churchill downs was having trouble with the computers. One lady said she was there the prior week and had the same problem. It makes one wonder if they are really having problems with the computer system as they have had two weeks to figure this out. My friend was able to see the wheel on the kiosk and tap the touch screen to spin the wheel, but the 10.00 freeplay was never added to his players card even after hanging around for two hours. We received no compensation and left after we were told churchill downs was having trouble on their end. It is very discouraging for people who have to travel any amount of distance and leave feeling gyped. The casino knows full well most people will spend money once they are inside whether they get the free play promised or not. Since Oxford has changed hands it has gone downhill and is the pits. When Oxford first opened in my opinion and based on opinions of others I have talked to, slots were looser, and also offered better "free play". Disappointing experience overall.

It was easy to find. Very clean, friendly & inviting. It looked a lot bigger inside then from the outside. Felt comfortable the whole time we were there. Although we choose not to have any beverages while we were the, it was being offered often. Plenty of room so your not crowded amoungst others while playing slots. Pleanty of gaming tables opened with fair limit amounts. We didn't get to try the buffet this trip, but we will be back for sure.

lots of fun food a little pricey for a casino. Get there early in the day make your contribution to the casino and get out...gets very crowded

Have enjoyed the few times I have gone up. It's a great night out if you set your budget and your expectations.

Oxford Casino is getting it together. The restaurant has a great Friday night buffet. The gaming area is wide open and the tables are easy to get to. The dealers are friendly and willing to help the inexperienced.

I didn't know what to expect when I arrived having read mixed reviews. I was impressed with this small town casino. It has over 800 slots and table games. We played the same slots we found at larger casinos and the payouts seem good. We played for 3 hours and broke even which is cheap for fun entertainment. The casino and the restrooms are kept extremely clean, and it is warm and the employees are very friendly. There is a "fast food" place and a regular restaurant right in the Casino and the prices are competitive with any restaurant on the outside, unlike Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun where you pay a lot for food. The building is very well done inside and has a festive atmosphere. We are going back since it is only 80 miles rather than 165 miles to Mohegan Sun. Did I mention the free coffee and soda machines? Anyone who finds this place anything but excellent for where it is and the size that it is, is being very unfair.

This is a small little casino in Oxford Maine, but it's a fun little place to visit for a day trip. They have mostly slots with some table games. They also have a restaurant that serves decent food. I was there for a lunch time buffet, price is reasonable and if you get enough points on Thursday before noon it's free, which is even better. The lunch buffet consisted of salads, hot dishes, pizza, carved turkey & gravy, desserts and a non-alcoholic drink was included. Had fun and enjoyed the slots and lunch buffet, will visit again...

Visited with three other couples...we had fun. Started by having lunch in their restaurant, which was very good. Played the slots...we won some and lost some! The important thing was to have fun. Didn't see any big jackpots, but still for a small venue, it was enjoyable. We have been to many casinos in the states and Canada...Oxford has a long way to go to even approach the quality and experiences of other venues, but it is a pretty ride there, restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, and who knows? You might get lucky! If you get a member card (free), you are in line for giveaways, promotions, and occasional gratis meals in their restaurant.

Oxford is great entertainment. Don't go if you expect to get rich. It's a small casino in the middle of nowhere. They do have a restaurant and snack bar and self serve soda and coffee bar. The food has always been good. The slots are fun but can be tight . The table games are always exciting. Great place to go for a little fun.
