Walden Ponds is a nice course. It's usually in good shape, but there are some negatives. For instance, their "clubhouse" is the original estate house on which the course is located. Outside, the house is beautiful, but should you need to use the restroom facilities, it's a whole different story. TERRIBLE! And, it's always been this way and they don't seem to care. Let's talk about golf carts. Poorly maintained, temperamental equipment. Step on the gas and maybe the cart will respond. TERRIBLE! Lastly, they have Canada geese in populations that pollute their fairways with feces. There are services that collect and remove geese, but, again, Walden Ponds does not seem to care. It's a health hazard. Forget this place. There are many other courses that care about their customers.
Mr. Boss
Outing at a long-standing golf club was outstanding. Lot's of improvements to bunkers & golf cart paths. Greens & fairways in some of the best conditions I've played at all year.Counter staff, starters & Marshall'scourteous and helpful. Course maintenance workers virtually invisible. Thanks to all who have worked to restore this golf landmark to its former condition!
