historic downtown shopping district

Since I have lived in this town my whole life, I admit to being subjective. That being said I recognize that the town is trying very hard to improve and reinvent itself with grants to attract new businesses. It wasn't that long ago that every other storefront seemed to be vacant. That is not the case now, however. Restaurants, art galleries, clothing boutiques, Johnson Hall, hair salons, a beautiful library and many other businesses make up the walkable, historic district. There are Art Walks scheduled throughout the year, the Swine and Stein festivities in October, the Santa parade in December, as well as other events that try to encourage people to visit and spend time (and money) in our fair city.

Gardiner's really working become a neat destination, especially for art and good food, as well as interesting clothing options. Its worth a visit.
