While visiting friends in the Lakes Region this past summer we adventured out one evening to hear some live music within close proximity of where we were staying for the weekend in Bridgton.Three music venues were suggested to us by people we spoke to in restaurants and in retail stores during the day.Of the three suggested places we found The Big Kahuna Cafe on Main St. in downtown Bridgton to be the best.A great room to see and hear some of New Englands best folk or blues music ( the night we went, a blues artist by the name of Paul Geremia was performing,WOW ),really reasonable beer prices ( $2.00 Guinness drafts ) and a great selection of Micro Brew beers.Admission for the night was only $5.00 per person .They only have a cover charge on the weekends ,the rest of the week they have no cover charge and live music every night of the week ! Well worth checking out at least once if you are in the area. They do not serve food and are only open in the evening. We had a lot of fun .
