Lasdon Park is a Somers treasure! We recently visited and decided to tour the park after reading the Trip Advisor ratings. What a nice place to tour. We walked the circuit viewing the patriotic memorials, visited the gardens and viewed the holiday exhibits. The staff was very friendly and willing to share information. I found the model train exhibit memory provoking and it reminded me of my Lionel trains that I had as a boy. The volunteers were having a great time running the trains and blowing the whistle for the kids and big kids who were visiting. We're looking forward to revisiting Lasdon Park and hiking the trails in the spring. Thank you Trip Advisor for another exceptional touring experience! Bill B. Oakton, VA.

My kids and I live close to this treasure in Northern Westchester. We spend time there in every season...sledding in winter and checking out the poinsettia Christmas tree, strolling the gardens in spring, hiking down to the pagoda and pond in summer, and viewing foliage in fall.

I came in September but it was still beautiful.although some flowers were not blooming. There's nice paths and labels for all plants and trees and picnic tables and benches all around. Very serene and peaceful.

Public parklands should be more like this. The gardens are beautiful and the gift shop is a gem. Wish they would bring back the summer concerts.

This is a really nice park, tucked away near Somers. The walking trails are gentle, and the scenery is nice. Tragically, many of the large pine trees were destroyed by Sandy, but the grounds and gardens are still very nice. Parking and admission are free, but keep in mind that the place closes at 4pm (store closes at 3:30). If you want to see the war memorials, follow the route marked by the flags at the far end of the parking lot. Follow the signs to get to the Chinese pavilion. There's a nice little pond, and bamboo growing at various places along the path (didn't know that stuff could survive our winter!).

Lasdon Park & Arboretum is located in a semi-rural pastoral rolling hills area. It was a lovely surprise to find when we 1st moved up here to the Somers / Katonah area over 20 years ago, and we continue to come here for various events, from antique to garden shows, weddings, etc., and more. There is plenty for a family or couples, or even for a peaceful walk through woods for a single person. Of course check it out more thoroughly on line. Enjoyable no matter what your reason or event. Go - you will want to go again.

Its great for gardeners to come and see what is blooming and how certain plants fared over the winter. A peaceful place to walk about and great in the summer for the live music events

I remember going to the initial opening of this park as a kid. We went there today. The place has been consistently maintained and upgraded over the years - beatiful gardens, extensive collection of lilac trees and many other plants. Beautiful mansion for special events. The war memorial is very well done also.

If you want peace and quiet with not much to see except the flowering gardens, go and have a good time. I bring my camera at foilage and walk in peace with nature.

Held our daughter's wedding reception here-what a wonderful place, underused by county residents. Waking and birding trails, Vietnam Memorial, Chinese Pavilion as well as formal gardens and seasonal events and classes. Botanical Art classes, as well as wreath-making class and events for children. Hallowe'en special event, Momortial Day Antiques show, and fund-raising superior Plant sale each May.

A must see. The gardens and the Viet Nam Memorial overlooking the Bedford Hills.

Nice to walk around and see the various plants. The magnolias, the azaleas, bring a lunch.

I love to go for the summer concerts on the lawn in this beautiful arboretum.

The Trail of Honor is a beautiful serene walking path in honor of our country's heroes. At the end of the trail, there is a breathtaking view of the local area.

What a wonderful "secret garden" you can't experience unless you come in off the road. Just lovely.
