The Scotia cinema is a great place to go for a pretty cheap date.I've been going there for a few years now, and the popcorn(which is totally Neccessary in any theatre) is Delicious. Its a great place to go for families as they Mostly have Kids Movies there, But, sometimes they get some good films that adults can enjoy. You can tell upon entering the door that its an old theatre and i like that. It has a great Balcony, and a great sound system...Id highly recommend this theatre to anyone or any family that wants to see a good movie. This place is worth going out of your way to get to.

Wonderful reasonably-priced theater. Great popcorn- won't break the bank! Completely refurbished with comfortable seats and great screen and sounds. Much preferred to any Cineplex.

The only place with real butter on the popcorn..The greatest prices all around for family value..and it's family operated!! The movies are relatively recent within a month or so..and they have a balcony..love this place!!

My husband and I have been seeing movies here for 35 years - together, apart, with our kids. It's a well-kept, "historic" theatre. They show movies that have been out a month or so at less than half the average price - $4.50 for adults, less for kids and seniors. Snacks and soda prices are great ($2 average), and the popcorn with REAL butter is the best - with free refills! Everything is clean. There is balcony seating, and the seats are comfortable. They sell out for "new" movies , so arrive early. Parking can be a small challenge because their lot is small, but the surrounding lots and village streets are available after various businesses close. The staff is ALWAYS pleasant.

We love going to this theater. The prices are half of what a regular theatre charges. The snacks are reasonable. It is clean. The staff is friendly! Unless you have to see a movie within its first few weeks of release this is the place to see a movie.

Fantastic old time theatre. Great value. extremely enjoyable. Kids love it as well as adults. I hope they never change

Both in ambience and pricing. This theater is great! Typical old fashioned theater with balcony. Plenty of seating. Pricing on tickets and concession is a fraction of the bigger theaters. Only draw back is having to wait longer to see the movie you want. I usually wait any way. This theater so ROCKS!

They raised their prices by 50 cents but still worth every penny. The popcorn and sodas have $1.00 refills on any size and they have real butter on the popcorn! Not a better value around anywhere!!

Great little movie house in the village of Scotia. No complaints about this place, one of our favorite places for a a date night! My only advice would be to get there a little early if you want to sit in the balcony, especially if the movie just opened. The cinema shows movies that have been out for a little while, but this place is a great value to see a movie and enjoy some snacks and not have to go to the bank first!

I have been going to this movie theatre since I was in high school. It was the Scotia Art Theatre at that time. They do not play first run movies, but the movies get there before going out on DVD. The seats have been refurburished recently and it is very comfortable. Movie costs are low. Popcorn is the best around and cost is much less than the big movie theatres.

The price is right! We always enjoy our trips to the Scotia Cinema to see movies for the first time, or fan favorites. My kids love the balcony and the popcorn is really good.

The Scotia Cinema is like going back in time. The prices are low for admission and in the concession stand. They use real butter. The owner has made improvements, but has kept this small theater that has a balcony old style.

Husband and I go almost every week. Parking is easy and you can't beat the prices. They updated the theater with a larger screen and additional new seating. We enjoy it very much. The screen seems as big to me as any mall theater. After coming here for years it is very hard for us to pay $12.00 for one ticket and a cold mall and walk 5 miles to park and deal with "mall rats" yelling out in the theater. At $4.50 a ticket ( less for kids and seniors!) you can't beat it!!!

Easy to get to, wonderful prices and a comfortable atmosphere. My favorite. The usual snack counter is located in the lobby. Parking is close by. It is advisable to get there early for a choice of seats. This place is suitable for all ages Saturday afternoons usually show children's movies. During the week the older generation is catered to. The teens usually go to the bigger theaters so it is a comfortable place for us mature folks.

Great affordable family-run theatre, prices are great, a couple can see the movie and have popcorn for less than $20. We love the balcony!
