This is my second visit to the spa. The first not proving very successful. My sister was visiting from the UK so we booked 3 massage treatments for our group only to be told once we had signed in & changed ready for the massage that they had over booked & could only fit two in for treatment. After getting over the dissapointment they did redeem themselves by only charging for one treatment, they covered the lunch bill & also gave me a voucher for a complimentary treatment. So on my second visit all went well. We booked in for lunch at Henry's table which is on the same site, or if you prefer you can order lunch & eat around the pool. This was only my second massage so I don't really have much to compare against but I did leave feeling totally relaxed & I've booked to go again. The pool, steam room & sauna also make the occasion more than just a massage. You can definitely make it a pamper day for you & your partner or a day for some girlie time.

I went for a little pampering and had all the cash in my wallet stolen from the locker while I was being pampered! I was in shock that my money was gone, but even more surprised by the attitude of the staff and management. Their attitude was "sorry, but there's nothing we can do." Not the kind of customer sevice I would have expected.

Drove up to the country for a Mother's spa day. The scenery is beautiful, Henry's restaurant on the grounds is delicious and quaint, and the staff were all friendly. We all enjoyed our services. My sister particularly loved her male LMT he was professional and knowledgable. The only thing I was not thrilled with is that the spa was so busy being Mother's Day weekend and bachelorette parties were there too, we had no place to sit for a very long time. We had to sit by the pool on mats until someone finally gave up their seats for their treatment. Also, there is only 1 bathroom (toilet) per gender and only 1 shower. I had to wait for a line of women to finish their shower before I could get in. If you're prepared with that fact, it should go smoothly. There was a pool shower if you don't mind just rinsing off instead of a full shower. All in all, i was happy and I will return.

Absolutely amazing experience! My friends and I had the most relaxing time lounging by the pool and soaking up some sun (while also sipping on champagne and snacking on hummus and cheese platters all day LOL). I had the best massage and facial ever by Nicole! Also the manager Jenny was very attentive and went out of her way to make sure we had an amazing experience! We will be returning again soon!! Thank you for a much needed spa day!

I've never actually stayed here, but I visit the spa every few months. It is the best spa experience in the area. From the complimentary sauna/steam room with purchase of a service to the quiet massage rooms, it is true relaxing bliss.I would've given an "Excellent" rating, but the robes are thin and not very comfortable. Please purchase thicker robes!

While the view and tranquility of the hidden spa seem ideal for a relaxing massage or facial treatment...the technician was anything but...I have had many facials and as a girls day out my friend and I decided to give the "country" a chance. My facial treatment itself was mediocre and too pricy but overall the technician talked the entire time. Not very relaxing. The city may be noisier and not have the country backdrop but the interior is an oasis not a gabfest!!!

I was ready for a great spa experience, and the Buttermilk Spa delivered. I chose a Buttermilk Bliss Body treatment and the Buttermilk Signature which I completely enjoyed. My only disappointment was the Space Pedicure. When it was all done, I asked about the paraffin treatment which was omitted. I got some strange answer for why it wasn't done. The Spa building is beautiful and relaxing. The complimentary tea and snacks make it possible to spend hours relaxing. The pool and saunas were a treat .

Buttermilk Spa is wonderful the minute you walk in and find delicious hot teas and a beautiful tray of fresh citrus fruit to welcome you. The staff is helpful, upbeat and courteous. You continue into the main spa area, where a lovely pool looks out onto an unbelievable view of the Hudson River. The pool is flanked by steam rooms and saunas. As if that were not enough, the treatments are well priced and professionally executed. The detail goes unattended.

Thanks to Roberta- beautiful on the inside and outside for her customer friendly service and going above and beyond to make our visit to the spa memorable. To Heidi- the best massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of spending an hour with. The pool with the generated waves was fun and a different pool feeling. Not the most luxorius spa I have ever been to - just the best!

Loved the accommodations, food, the setting, the staff, the spa and will return next year! A perfect getaway for "the girls" or a romantic weekend with the husband/boyfriend. If you are looking for a place to relax, get pampered, and have some piece and quiet this is the perfect spot!

I love the way they created the individual rooms and the flow of the hotel. The grounds offer interesting walks and a very relaxing environment.

Really enjoyed my massage and the ambiance of this place. I have massages in NYC San fran, vancouver, and chicago, this was the nicest of all of them. The massage was great service perfect, staff friendly and what was offered was the best i have ever seen-pool steam room, sauna, smells and fresh granola, tea and cucumber water. The value is also excellent. They run specials and have great deals now and than. The regular prices aren't horrible either.

I was given a gift certificate for a massage here. I found the rates high and the staff a bit distant. I probably will not go back.

We were a group of eight staying at the Inn and spending the day at the spa. Between all us, we had appoints ranging from facials, to Raindrop Treatments, to Anti-aging treatments to massages. We were all thoroughly pleased with out experiences. From entering the door to a warm reception and chocolate covered strawberries to the pool with a breathtaking view of the Hudson, to the steam room and treatment areas, the spa is calming, beautifully appointed and lovely. And Irene was fantastic. We will definitely be back...
