Definitely worth a stop if you are exploring the wine trail or otherwise in the area. They have created a number of good wines, and their hard ciders (Steampunk and Eloquence) are incredible! The staff is always pleasant and very knowledgable. It is always a first stop when we visit to pick up several bottles!

You will find Great servers and nice wines at Leonard Oakes Estate Winery. On Dec 12, 2014 Our pretty redhead server was happy and enthusiastic serving their vintages. She knew the wines well, and gave great descriptions about each upon serving. We left with a few bottles, wanting more but out of funds from the Niagara Falls weekend. A worthy stop on the Western New York Niagara Wine Trail and also recommend a Stop at "A Gust of Sun" winery while you're in the Area.

Friends and I stopped here on a whim. I have been to Leonard Oakes before and they had not. The tasting room is large and yet very welcoming. The staff are always friendly, polite, and more than willing to help with recommendations. Leonard Oakes has a nice variety of dry and sweet wines, so there is a bite for everyone. If you like cherry wine and something sweet, try the Cerise.

We stopped at Leonard Oakes on a bit of a whim, wanting to sample some wines from the Lake Ontario shoreline of Western New York. We were not disappointed. Our hostess was very attentive and engaging, and even gave us a few extra tastes for our tasting fee. We found several semi-dry wines that worked well for us, and the Frontenac was also a winner. We ended up with a case, including a few bottles for family members who are rather serious with their wine. The pricing was quite competitive, and we would consider returning if we are in the area again.

Always a stop when we go to visit my wife's family. Very nice little winery that has a great selection including cider and ice wine. We love the Fiji and the Escape series wines. tastings are 4 for $3 but the servers will usually give you more at no cost. Always a good stop to kill a few hours and pick up some bottles of wine!

Having grown up in Orleans County I never would have thought such a nice winery would be in my old backyard. I visited Lenard Oaks in February while on a tour with some family member. The tasting room is very welcoming as are the folks working there. Were we given a nice variety of wines as well as some draft beer. We purchased the Meritage & Riesling. Both are very good with the Riesling being as good as any Fingerlakes wine I’ve had - and that is saying something.

Yep, these folks have figured out how to make very good wine. very relaxed tasting room, no pressure to buy bottles, decent prices, and I hear that they have receptions now.These are they types of small businesses that make living in small towns so very wonderful.Come out and have a taste!

The wine trails in New York State are numerous but who knew there was one in the cute little village of Medina, New York. The wines were delicious, my favorite was the Escape Blush and there was a very nice place to have lunch or as we experienced a whole Wedding reception. The staff was great and managed to get us our lunch while preparing for the Wedding party at the same time. I will be going back there on my next trip to New York State.

I have been going to this winery since they started, and year after year they get better. I am always impressed with the people serving wine, they are skateboarder and very knowledgeable. I love the wines here, and Leonard Oakes are always my go to wines for a gathering. The gift shop and fruit stand are a nice bonus there as well.

We visited Leonard Oakes Estate Winery for the first time with friends. The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful making suggestions for wine to sample. We loved several of the selections so much we had a case shipped home!!!

I have to admit, I googled it. I was intrigued by the idea of a festival and cider tasting. They had me hooked at the mention of sampling NY's hard cider, but the clincher was mingling with a couple hundred people, half of which were in full SteamPunk regale! Not only am marking it on my calender for next Labor Day weekend, I'm dressing for the occasion! Just wish there was lodging. I wanted to drink more cider, but had to drive home.

Leonard Oakes Estate Winery is much more than just a winery! In season you can pick apples of over 100 varieties, many of them heritage varieties that you won't find anywhere else. Then stop in for a tasting of their delicious wines, including the SteamPunk cider which is quite the hot commodity these days, pick up some cheese, browse the gift shop, chat with the nice Oakes famiy and enjoy!
