Actually visited sister Comedy Club, McGuire's in Bohemia multiple times. They have really great acts. Some of which you have seen on TV. Jessica Kirson, Gilbert Godfrey, Tim Gage as well as others that you may have seen on comedy central.2 drink minimum. Food is really good and very reasonably priced.Go and try it. I am sure you will have a great time. Also, be ready to be shocked. Not for those who may get offended quickly.

Went to Governors last night for dinner and a show. You may have to book in advance for dinner, which we did. Although it's not a 5 star restaurant, the food was good and tasty and had a good selection to choose from. I had a steak and it was cooked perfect, again their were several options to choose from and healthy choices not your run of the mill fast food or deep fried choices. It was nice.The wait staff was friendly and courteous. The parking is great. The pricing is really resonable. Most of all...we laughed all night. Those fun belly laughs. A great time was had by all. I hadn't been to Governor's in close to 30 years since I moved away, but it sure was nice to come back ho.e and visit Governor's.

This place has been here for ions but you forget about it since it's not on the main road. Went for my birthday as a simple night out with husband and 19 year old son. We had a really fun night. Comedians were good and not too out of line since we brought our son with us (thank goodness!) staff was proThere was a two drink minimum and we ordered some light fare. The place is iconic here on Long Island and it was nice to enjoy entertainment without schlepping to NYC!

We went this evening and laughed non stop. The comedians were quite good considering that we never heard of them before.There was a 2 drink minimum.I had a coffee and a water ,$6.25 for both ,a bit steep especially since the coffee had no taste.

Not a bad location close to the highway and in back of a strip mall with a lot of parking. They have some good headliners for time to time. If you sign up for there email listing they send you free tickets! Always a two drink minimum. It's a nice place for a low key date and have some good laughs.

I went for the 1st time with my GF. She was apprehensive. We're not into "hate" humor. We had the most unique wonderful night in a long time. Terrific accommodating hosts, HYSTERICAL CLEVER COMICS, very reasonable cocktails and very surprisingly good food. We'll be back and will come early for dinner next time. Highly recommended!

Great time visiting this 18+ yrs and older establishment. We laughed til we cried and would do it again in a heartbeat. Check with the locals in the area because offers are constantly being sent out for free tickets with a 2 drink minimum purchase. We will definitely be back!!

This review is a WARNING not to eat the food in this place. Went with 12 friends last night to see a friend perform ... that part was ok. The MISTAKE was we all ordered dinner before the show. I get it that this is not a restaurant and while my expectations were very low to zero in the first place, I did not expect to be served the awful mess on a plate we got. The Roast Pork dish the waiter said was 'their best dish' was literally poisonous. Two in our group got sick from it. The Chicken Marsalla tasted and looked like a brown pile of mud. The rest of the 12 meals were equally vile. Whoever is cooking in the kitchen not only has none of the basic skills required, but also had to out of his or her way to cause food to taste this bad. Worse, when we handed the plates back to the waiter uneaten, saying it was awful, he 'smirked' as if he sees this all the time, and offered no other options to remake or refund the price already paid. The drinks were just OK, about what you would expect in an overpriced hell hole like this place. SKIP IT!

We had a great time at governors ! The comics were terrific , and I was very surprised that the food was good! We had a very nice cheese plate to start and really, that could have been enough. The staff was very good..all and all it was a good night

My friends and I absolutely loved governors, we actually are returning at the end of May for another show. The staff is great, the food is decent and the entertainment is actually funny. Looking forward to another day of laughs.

So, while I've been a longtime fan of Governor's, and I frequent this place a lot.  I am now a forever fan. I bought amazon local deals this time, and invited 4 friends with us for a total of 6.  Show started at 7 on Saturday.  We were there at 6:40 but mistakenly thought the show starts at 7:30, so figured we had time.  What I did not know was that seating is first come first serve, so by the time we went to get seated (7 o'clock by this time), there was not a table for 6.  Our group would have had to been split up.  I was very  disappointed, as anyone would be.  The staff took action though! Ginnie, set up an extra table for us on the side quickly and we were all able to sit together! Service was excellent and quick, as usual. This is my favorite comedy club.  Thanks Governor's!!

I haven't laughed like that in a long time. My cheeks and chest hurt. The comedians were hysterical. The place was clean. The drinks were good. The food ok (standard) but the show was awesome. I highly recommend when you want to get out and try something different.

Governor's Comedy Cabaret was a pleasant surprise for me. From the outside and the location of this venue I was not impressed. The inside is a bit dated but the atmosphere was nice. I saw Gilbert Gottfried last year, it was a great show. The staff were very friendly and happy people. They do offer food if desired and there is a 2 drink minimum. You can get coffee for your drink minimum. The venue is a great place to gather with friends for a night out for good entertainment. Overall: Good Entertainment at affordable prices.
