I'm a terrible golfer who certainly isn't qualified to rate golf courses beyond knowing if I like one or not. Colonial Ridge may be a little crude compared to some courses, but it's always improving, and the owner and staff couldn't be more friendly. It's 18 holes, and the rural location really makes for a relaxing, scenic, and natural environment that I really enjoy. They now have state-of-the-art golf simulators for year-round golfing too.The Owner, Jeff Waffle, is always patient, accomodating, and available, whatever your question or need might be. He really knows the game and tries to give everyone the most enjoyable experience he can. Even knowing how bad a golfer I am, he takes the time to give pointers, make suggestions, and treats me with the same respect and personal attention he would give a scratch golfer.Jeff is passionate about what he does, and wants everyone to have a good experience. I'm not sure if he ever actually leaves the place. Greens fees and cart prices are very reasonable, as are the equipment, accessories, food, and beverages from the clubhouse . They have one of the best burgers around too!If you just enjoy golf without the snobbiness that sometimes accompanies it at some courses, or if you don't know how to play and want to learn, I highly recommend Colonial Ridge. You'll always be treated like your business is appreciated and welcome.
