A trip to Glen Cove is not complete with out participating in the 7/4 family picnic. I remember my father and next door neighbor leaving the house at 0500 hrs to enter snd save space. It was worse the tailgating at Candlestick!!The beach was perfect, the grassy picnic areas were for your families, young lovers had lots of trails and nook areas to be alone.Great memories going back to 1956-1970!

A seaside park with hundred year old trees is more unique than rare. Glen Cove is lucky to have it! Great summer nights concerts!

Love the park.Summer views are spectacular.Great fire works show on the Fourth of July. Our children used to play on the beach all the time. And it was at that stone gazebo that I propose to my wife 23+ years ago. Took our wedding photo there too.

Take a break today and take a loved one to Morgan park in Glen Cove. Located on the sound it's a great place to spend a few hours relaxing with lots of places in the sun and shade.

My family and I visit this park several times a year. The beautiful sunset bouncing off the water, the top-shelf entertainment, the serenity....there's nothing like it on the Northshore. There are wonderful nature trails by the water and on a clear day you can almost touch Connecticut. We're looking forward to our series of trips there this summer and especially during the St. Rocco's Feast at the end of July. Can't recommend this jewel enough.

This is a tranquil and picturesque park with beautiful views of the water. I love to take a walk, or sit and read a book, or just go to clear my head. There is a small beach and it's a great place to bring a chair and umbrella in the summer and just relax. I was so excited to discover this park in Glen Cove. Easily accessible, not crowded even in the spring and summertime. The only time it is crowded is during the summer when they have evening concerts.

A beautiful park located in Glen Cove Waterfront. This park was donated to the residents of Glen and Locust Valley by financier J P Morgan in loving memory of his wife. The views are spectacular!

I go for a walk here every other day. It is a beautiful park here in glen cove, with water views & plenty of bench's to sit on. It has a small beach with snack stand. There are some steep hills to walk so be careful. Also some nights there is free music, check it out.

This park (while only available to residents of Glen Cove and Locust Valley during the peak summer season of Memorial Day to Labor Day), does not verify resident status during the non-peak season and during peak season I think the check-in station is closed after 5 pm but the gates remain open until dusk. So if you are an out-of-towner please respect one of the City of Glen Cove's most prized possesions...take only photos...leave only foot prints. There is a swimming beach at this park in addition to lovely paved walkways which are handicapped accessible. There are no real "formal" floral gardens, but the assortment of trees and wildflowers, along with gazebo, seating and picnic benches throughout, make it comfortable for all ages to enjoy a scenic stroll, a refreshing swim (only allowed when lifeguards are on duty) as well as offering a delightful picnicking or BBQ location (free charcoal grills are available amongst the beautiful trees on the gentle slopes of the parks but you have to bring your own fuel and make your own fire). If you walk up to the top of the highest hill in the park there is also special 9/11 memorial bench. In addition there is a free Sunday concert series during the summer as well as an free annual car show that typically takes place in July sponsored by the Gold Coast Cruisers. This park and beach are a unique setting on the shores of Hempstead Bay and it's often used as a photo location for weddings and fashion shoots. It is also a great spot to view marine birds and contains one of the most expansive rock jetties on Long Island which makes it a very popular fishing spot for the locals. This park is a piece of history and exemplifies what the "Gold Coast" of Long Island was all about.

The park was severely damaged by storm a while back but was rebuilt and was in full operation for the annual 4th of July Music and Fireworks Show. The park was crowded but there was plenty of room to set up beach chairs to listen to the band during the day or swim at the beach. Grills were available for barbecuing and at about 930 PM a Grucci Fireworks display went off over the water. You could see at least a dozen other shows going off around the harbor and L.I. Sound for about an hour. There was plenty of Mr. Softee ice cream vendors to delight the children. Traffic was a little slow when departing but all in all it was worth the trip.

This place is with all its beauty of a bay, but for surprise comes with bugs/mosquito from hell. Me and few of my buddies went on a little fishing adventure and got to the park a little after sunset. Although we got there late, but we didn't wanted miss a golden opportunity to hook some fish. Oh my god.. was that bug/mosquito invasion or what. At the end we figured that we were not baiting the fishes but the Mosquitos were baiting us with fish... lol. JUNE 2013

Invite friends and or family to an afternoon at the park. There are ample picnic and play areas. The park often hosts concerts during the summer months. Make sure to get on their email list. Oh, and don't miss the free fireworks on July 4th.
