Booked a Walking Tour with Matthew Cummings through CityWalksNY. Must have lost my mind to book a walking tour of NYC in February but, despite the frigid cold...we had a blast! Matthew fit into our group like he had always been a friend. He was knowledgeable about his city and very accommodating to us every time we wanted to duck in a place to warm up! We never could have maneuvered the subway system without him and would have spent a small fortune if we had had to rely on taxis! Saw the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Wall Street, 9/11 memorial, Grand Central Station and that took literally ALL DAY. If you have time, book for 2 days or 3) to see it all. Thanks Mathew...next time we want to see more of midtown and up town but we will be sure to book it in the spring or fall...not the dead of winter!

We had the great pleasure of having Matthew as our tour guide on Saturday, May 3/14. He gave us an amazing tour of the city! He combined humour, history and genuine love for the city! I have been to NYC close to 50 times and there were many things that I learned from Matthew's tour. He also showed grace under pressure while finding alternate routes to get us around many street closures. September 16 & 17,2013, Matthew Cummings served as our "step-on" tour guide as 37 souls, mostly seniors, experienced the sights of New York City via motor coach, on and off. CityWalks is a great way for adults and young adults to view New York City. Matthew is gracious, patient and has a long-term knowledge of New York City and its history. I would highly recommend Matthew!
