This is one of the best parks that I have ever been to, I have been to New York about 8 times so far and I go everytime I'm in town.

Eisenhower park in Nassau county just east of Roosevelt Mall is a great place to spend a summer day. There is so much to do from walking, biking, model boating, picnics, mini golf, golfing, driving range, snack shack, swimming, and so much more. This park is huge with multiple parking lots, an outdoor theater, safety town for children and on and on. Go spend a day with family and friends.

Eishenhower is a huge park, with plenty of space. They have a Olympic pool, ball fields, play grounds and a few other things. With all the space they have I think they could add more attractions to the park, even a roller rink would be good.

This large park has everything you need in a park- golf, mini golf, batting cages, nature trail, fitness train, concerts, swimming, ice skating, picnic areas, ball fields - all in a way that makes each area it own park. playgrounds for the kids.

This summer spent many a nice evening in the park listening to concerts; chatting with friends and enjoying nice cool breezes off the lake. Enjoyed fireworks as well and playing with beach balls during concerts.

Eisenhower Park is the best park on Long Island and the perhaps the largest in Nassau County. It offers visitors a variety of things to do including spending time at the Olympic sized swimming pool or spending time in nature.

Pack up a few sandwiches, some drinks, comfortable chairs and maybe even some friends and head over to Eisenhower Park for their Summer Concerts. With so many other things to do, this is a great place year round.

Attended a picnic party -Field 2. Decent amount of picnic tables and grills. I appreciate the many trees that provide shade for a warm summer day. No flies, grounds were clean. Nice playground especially for children below 10. They will appreciate the musical blocks that you can step on and the monkey bars. There were a group who had loud speakers set-up and their music was blasting and the hostess voice -you can hear all the way to the parking lot. Noticed also that there is poor parking etiquette, some cars allowed to park on the island, some double parked waiting for their friends or for a spot to open up. I did see a police squad car parked nearby within the parking area which is a deterrent. Would not come here by myself.

Come on...Nassau county should be more pet-friendly instead of only grouping dogs to go to dog parks. For example...in Queens-Cunnigham Park is a great park which allows dog owners to walk freely with everyone else not segregated to a pen with other doggies. As long as pet-owners are responsible for their 4 legged creatures, fur kids and their loved ones...why not allow dogs to use the park and enjoy it like the rest of us. We all pay so much taxes I'm sure some of the $$$ can be divierted to do-do pickup. The politicians can understand the situation and be more supportive don't you think? It's a real nice park with lots of summer events/concerts/charity walks. Located is Carltun Palm restaurant and golf playing areas. There's a lakeside theatre for special events, annual fireworks which is always a hit, lots of parking and even a building where there's a spetacular pool...go check it out! Please be kind and consider allowing dogs to enjoy this park, ok? They should be allowed everywhere we all go!

I was staying at a nearby hotel and had looked up the running route before I started my run. I ran along Merrick Avenue but you have to run over a mile before you can get into an area of the park that is safe to run. The main parkway into the park had fence up along the road so had to go in by the ice rink. I would have liked to run by the lake, but didn't really see the access point. There is fencing all around the park, I could see the lake area, but wasn't sure how far I'd have to go to get to it. I wound up on a trail by the softball fields. I noticed there weren't many people out running or walking so it is a safety concern as well and so I ran back out the way I came. I did a total of 5 miles, but felt like if they had better signage for running or walking I might have ventured further.

I recently went to visit to bring my 2 year old to the playground. I didn't feel safe the minute I got there. Within the hour that I was there my car window was smashed and something stolen from my car. It was quite an ordeal trying to clean all the glass out of my toddler's car seat and drive home with no window. The park police were great though. They said that was the 5th car theft and vandalism of the day. I wouldn't recommend this park.

A nice spot in any park on Long Island is difficult to find since the Canada Geese have been allowed to infest our area. These poop machines have made it impossible to walk in, sit in or otherwise enjoy our parks. This one is unfortunately no exception

Since I was not a resident of Nassau County, I was charged a $10 entry fee which I thought was unfair and too expensive. I'm not against a fee, but it shouldn't have cost as much as a movie ticket. After all, I do live in-state. Other than that, the park was beautiful, spacious, well-maintained, family-friendly, perfect for bicycling, walking, picnicking, etc. Security on premises.
Swimish
I was at Eisenhower parks aquatic center this past weekend for a swim meet as a spectator and in the hour and a half I was there I killed 4 cockroaches in the stands and 2 in the bathroom. Place needs to be cleaned and or finally shut down to redo the building as they are suppose to be. Absolutely disgusting.

great restrant, good driving range, the pond has remote boats floating sometimes, peaceful place. Usually have at least 1 organization summer picnic there a year.
