The Roycroft history is very interesting and worth visiting the museum. Always nice to go back in time for a bit and see how this bit of local history came about. You always learn one more thing when you stop in for a leisurely walk through.

Thank you for your review of the Elbert Hubbard Museum. Next time you are in town you should visit the Baker Church Tiffany windows, the Millard Fillmore Presidential Site and get a free tour of the Roycroft Inn. Remember Buffalo is only 30 min away.

Friendly docents give you the history of Roycroft Arts and Craft company ( printing press/furniture) go have a drink at the Roycroft Inn afterwards. $10 entry but worth it.

The Arts and Crafts movement might not appeal to everyone, but my husband and I loved the experience. To us it is all about the wood, beautiful oak, quarter sawn and lovingly placed into a lovely home.

This little museum is independent of the Roycroft Campus and probably a little overshadowed by it -- but it's a "must see" when you are in East Aurora. Full of amazing objects made by the Roycrofters. The copper collection is simply awesome!

A fascinating place to visit... like Elbert and his wife just left and never come home (actually the both died on the Luthsatanioa that was sunk by a German U-Boat)Elbert started the Roycraft Campus and with it the "Arts and Crafts" movement that swept across early 20th century in America. When I was there, a couple from out west, came to visit the museum specifically because they where "fans" of the Arts and Crafts. Full of interesting furniture, fixtures, artifacts. A must see for anyone visiting East Aurora.

We were there on 6/18 and it was not open. It's only open on Wednesdays and weekends which does not provide many opportunities to see it.
