This is a wonderful Boulder experience, but there are a few things to be aware of. First, many of the bicyclists either are or think they are competitive racers. They will call out to you, "on your left", so it is better to stay alert, and not have ear buds in your ears. You will want to hear the cyclist, and you won't have a lot of time to react, as they do go really fast. Second, there are a lot of homeless, as there are many places. They are unlikely to harm you, and probably won't even call out to you. You can either ignore them or how about smile at them, good for both sides. Enjoy Boulder, mostly sunny, friendly, and safe

This is one of the best things about Boulder and what makes Boulder such a great city to live in. You can zip from Boulder's west end to eastern edge on this path without hardly ever (I think maybe never) running into traffic, a distance of about 5 miles. You can get to so many things from here (from the west--the library, tea house, farmer's market, Pearl Street, CU's campus, parks, and breweries like FATE and BRU). The path is tree-lined and interesting the whole way through. Boulder's a very bike-friendly city, and you really have to experience how easy it is to get around on bike here to get a feel for Boulder's unique culture. Since leaving Boulder, the creek path is what I miss most about it. Have fun!

The multi-use Boulder Creek Path winds through the city and along the creek for well over 5 miles! You can do a hilly walk if you go west from Eben Fine Park, meander through the downtown area near Central Park or pass a series of ponds if you do the eastern end east of 55th St. It is a paved path wide enough for walkers and bikers, and with underpasses at crossroads, you never need to stop for traffic. You will mostly be following the Boulder Creek and may see kayakers, tubers, folks commuting to work or kids fishing! It is just one of the many things that makes Boulder such an appealing place to live, work and play!

Safer than the street bike lanes. Wound around heighborhoods. Beautiful scenery off to west. Great shops along downtown part.

The Boulder Creek Path is a paved and easy trail, about 5.5 miles, that goes through the town of Boulder. We rented bikes for $20.00 per day from University Bikes, and rode along a beautiful creek. Our route was a car-free path that took us over quaint bridges, with views of mountains, trees, and wildlife--all while staying in town. There were many diverse people utilizing the path as well; we saw lots of young students, some homeless people taking cover under a bridge along the path, and even musicians sitting on a bench, playing the harmonica creek-side. By riding along this path, we got lots of exercise, fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a unique experience in town. I highly recommend renting bikes on this path if you get the chance.

For an authentic "Boulder" experience walk or bike this path during the day. The east end is less used and less "nice" but still ducks, creek and connects to other paths. In Scott Carpenter park you can sit on a bench with woods. Near the library you will see transients but safe during the day, and beautiful area. Past the library are little fishing ponds. Goes west beyond city limits. While walkers need to be careful as some cyclists go too fast, you can go for miles and peel off to all different parts of Boulder. Best way to get to experience various parts of central Boulder. The creek is lovely and lots of people watching....

best thing ever. beautiful. riding the bike along it is key. unfortunately saw some homeless people, which is sad. city needs to help them out more. no issues with them though, no agression or anything like that, as with all homeless really

A very nice path along the running creek. As you get to the far West it is no longer paved but very nice on all the parts I ran on. A lot of people out enjoying the sound of the water and the path.

We walked some of this trail on a Sunday afternoon. It is beautifully maintained, with lovely scenery (an adjacent creek, the mountains in the background). You also get a feel for the Boulder lifestyle, as the path is used by all, for walking, biking, jogging etc. The path goes under the intersections so that is a nice feature too.

Especially near the Boulder Library,along Boulder Creek, there are so many transients, a number of whom are, well, less than friendly, that the whole Boulder creek-walk experience is sadly reduced. Lived here for 72 years, sad to see the Creek Path so damage by presence of these street/homeless people. And note - beware speeding bicycles. They don't always tell you "on your left!" or similar - if you do take the walk.

This path runs through Boulder along Boulder Creek. There are a lot bike riders here and they go very fast and are very aggressive. Also in certain parts there are lots of homeless people so be careful at night.

Running all the way from east Boulder through Boulder skirting the CU Campus and downtown through parks and up Boulder Canyon. Always full of people, bikes,and other forms of transportation from strollers to skate boards and long boards. Nice to be by rushing mountain stream. A little marred at present by hangover from last years flood and the influx of transients. Still a great experience

We walked this beautiful trail from the Boulder Public Library to the Red Rocks in Settler's Park. any visit to Boulder should include a trip along the Boulder Creek Path.

Fresh running trout stream down the middle of this greenway multi-use path. Easy access for miles of easy walking or biking.

I used to live off the creek path. Great place for a run... The path goes for miles and links with other paths.
