No one but logging equipment along the way. Camped next to the second lake. Loved the serenity. The fire ban is the only thing that sucked. Be we made up for it by taking high powered flashlights and shined bats after sun set.

Greenhorn mountain dramatically rises above the desert floor to an elevation on 12,000+ ft. Located in the Wet mountains, it dominates the surrrounding landscape. Lush pine forests, rocky outcrops and high mountain creeks are what make this area a must see. Unlike the Central and Northern parks in Colorado, The Greenhorn Mountain Wilderness area is not crawling with hikers, atv's, or nature goers. You can spend several days in the area and not see all there is to see. I highly recommend driving the unpaved road to the top of Greenhorn at dusk to see possibly the best sunset anywhere.
