the lone cone restaurant and saloon

Basic menu but good, historic bar inside restaurant.Very warm accommodations. Quick service and helpful staff.

Everything was great! The food on every level was very delicious. Steaks, Chicken Fried Steak, Shrimp, Chips and Salsa, Bread Basket, Salads. I never thought that I would find this level of food in such a small town. Our waitress was very nice, polite and joked around with us as much as we joked around with her.

We were told by a couple of locals that this is the best, and nearly only, restaurant in town. The bar is old and has an interesting history, but otherwise the restaurant is smelly and not very clean. I made the mistake of going to the restroom before our dinner was served, and lost my appetite. I had the special, which was spaghetti. It was swimming in water and the sauce was bland. My husband got the country fried steak sandwich which was very dry. His fries were good. Overall, it was expensive for what we got, bathroom was filthy and the food was mediocre.

La devanture et la décoration ne payent pas de mine mais l'accueil est chaleureux . Menu du jour: soupe délicieuse clam chowder avec plus de coquillages que de pomme de terre( c'est rare d'habitude c'est l'inverse) suivie d'un rib-eye tendre, juteux et gouteux à souhaits, cuit à point . Un régal, tout ça accompagné d'une patate au four et de légumes. C'est super bon, il ne reste rien dans les assiettes. On est calé.La serveuse nous dit de passer par le bar pour partir, en effet il est super joli, tout en bois avec un juke-box.
