My son and I rented some boards at Chatfield. What a great time. There were many choices for boards depending on ability level. The owners are friendly and helpful for those out for their first paddleboard experience. I would suggest making reservations so you can get the type of board you want at the time you want.

We grabbed their rentals at Chatfield Reservoir yesterday. Great selection of boards with lessons available if you need some. They are in different locations depending on the day of the week. Check their website for the schedule. You can also grab a board at their shop and take it where you want to. Friendly and knowledgeable folks!
