This was a fantastic float trip! Easy to book. Easy RT transportation from Vail. Just loads of fun all aroundThe staff was friendly. Knowledge. Supportive and fun. They made you feel comfortable and capable. The tubes were top of the line holding 3 adults each with a solid bottom. single tubs available if needed. They hook your entire group together!! Makes for more fun. The river section you float down is pure bliss roughly 2.5-3 hours. With sand bars and areas to stop for a few and break... Also there was an area that has 2 hot springs pools all natural and very small but worth it. You float along I70 at times and will get tons of honks if you wave!! There were easy 50 people there and not once did we feel like we were on top of each other. You have paddles so you can slow or speed up. You can bring a soft side small cooler and drinks NO glass or cigarettes. I would highly recommend doing this.

We planned a river float day with Turtle Tubing a few days before our wedding in Vail for all our (younger) guests. The Turtle bus is a Vail locals favorite and didn't disappoint with all of our out of town guests! We had about 30 people to fill one bus and had an excellent time! Shane was great about communicating all the details in advance and even warned us a few days out that the weather could be cooler than ideal. It was cloudy and about 65 degrees, but the tubes keep you above water and we were just fine. With 30 of our closest college friends things got a bit rowdy, but our driver and the float organizers were all great about making sure we had an awesome time! Definitely recommend especially if you have a large group to fill your own bus.

Great lazy trip with great views. This was perfect for a group of friends or adult family members. This was one of our favorite events on our trip. I recommended it to many during the remainder of our vacation. I definitely recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks. We did not take the shuttle because we did not stay in Vail. When we arrived we were told since we didn't take the bus that we would need to be the first to finish the float so we could be driven back to the lot so there was enough room on the bus for everyone who was going back to Vail. We were rushed during the trip and staff threatened to remove us midway if we did not pick up speed. I understand the reasoning but we should have been informed before hand. Otherwise it was a great experience and I would do it again.

Get a group of friends together, bring a cooler of beer and have an awesome time on the Colorado "lazy river" trip. I did this last year for the first time, and can't wait to do it again this summer!

Turtle Bus helped make my wedding special. One less thing to worry about!!!! Hooray! "Tommy" of the Turtle Bus took charge of my wedding guest by transporting them to and from my wedding. "Tommy"'s bus was fun for my guests who enjoyed the music, lights, and adult refreshments. My friends were treated as special and when they arrived at my wedding they were happy campers. Thanks "Tommy" and the Turtle Bus for making my special day enjoyable. BTW, my familly and friends have been talking about how wonderful the Turtle is. Thanks again.

We went last August and the guys seemed super easy going which was nice. The water was crazy low so it was sort of boring. I wish I had asked more questions so we would have known whether we could bring food, drinks, a kite, games, really anything.

Spare yourself the trouble and go with another outfit -- Poor communications, lack of information on website. They never answer the phone, and are late to respond to requests. Considering it's a commercial business they could be much more comprehensive!!!We never got picked up for our tubing trip!

We had 25 friends all go on Saturday and what a great day it was. The bus scooped us up at 10:00 AM in Vail and tooks us up to the drop in point where the tubes were waiting. They got us launched and then it was 3 hours of fun in the sun. Once we finished the float they flagged us down, helped get all the tubes out of the water and we had a nice ride back to Vail. Such a fun experience!!!!

These guys never even bothered to pick up 30 people at a camp ground, because they didn't know it was up a "dirt road." Anyone that knows the road to Sylvan Lake campground, outside of Eagle, CO knows the "dirt road" is completely accessible to ANY vehicle, including large RV's, the smallest car, or the turtle tubing bus. They were well aware of where we were staying and said "no problem" over the phone. If a dirt road had been the only problem, we would have gladly driven our group the 5 miles to the visitor center to meet them on a paved road. We had the trip planned for 6 months and they completely abandoned us....we will never recommended this company to anyone.

I purchased a coupon for a two person tube trip that expires 2 months from the time I contacted Turtle Tubing. Shane, one of the owners, was quite friendly when I initially inquired about a start time for the trip. When I mentioned that I would be using the coupon, I was told that there was no open space for the rest of the summer. I find it hard to believe that the river is “full” until next summer. To be noted, I wasn’t even trying to book on a weekend. This was for a Monday, our first Monday as newlyweds after our mountain wedding. I asked how I could get reimbursed and the response was “Hi! We are not responsible for reimbursement”. I would not be writing this review had Shane been pleasant and offered any kind of explanation but he was dismissive and tried to take payment without offering a service. Fortunately, the coupon company was gracious and quickly offered a refund after I showed them the email communications. The mountains have so many more activities to offer with people who have common Colorado courtesy. Go elsewhere.
