What an absolutely wonderful combination, a fascinating photo gallery, a clean, well run camp ground/RV park, all run by a world class professional photographer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The private photography lessons provided by Allan Ivy made a huge difference in how I look at landscape photography.

I signed up for a workshop with the intent on improving my camera technical knowledge (Nikon 300). I learned so much MORE! My Eyes were Opened! Allan has mastered the ability to teach and shared his knowledge of photography. His gallery is proof of his skill. He is Gunnison's hidden treasure!

We were travelling with our RV through Colorado when we stopped in a campground at Guninsson... Surprisingly the owner of that place was something "more"...He has a very sharp eyes and use that particularity to take pictures of the life as very few photographers can do...Guess what ? I spent more hours with him looking at his gallery than in my coach and I bought 2 pictures which I love... I asked for a frame and that guy did it with drift wood in a moment (he is good with his hand too...).Do not pass by without checking in at that campground but be careful as you will buy picture(s) for sure !Bob & Lone (from Denmark & Belgium) PS.: BTW... we spent a very good night in that campground with the smel of the fallen aspen leaves

I traveled all the way from London, England to photograph Colorado, Utah and Arizona. The truth of the matter is - after stopping in Gunnison I never left Colorado because there were just so many interesting things to take photos of within a stones throw of the gallery. And with the added benefit of being able to spend time and learn from Allan in such a picturesque setting - leaving just wasn't a sensible option. If you're wanting to learn or improve your craft and you're around Gunnison or Crested Butte I wouldn't miss the opportunity to pay a visit, even if only to stop by and look at some of the pictures hanging on the walls of the gallery which Allan has taken during his travels around the globe. I would suggest though you bring some sturdy walking shoes along with your camera because with Allan in the lead you never know quite what's he's got in store for you. I do know this though - whatever it is you'll come away with some brilliant stories to tell and some excellent pictures to go along along with them.
