As soon as I moved here, I enrolled my granddaughter as a member. Every Saturday, we can stop by for a free hour of experiments. Every semester they have different program to enroll the kids in after school. This time, my granddaughter is enrolled in chemistry, and she is only in first grade! Where else??

There is a wide variety of hands on exhibits for the whole family!! My kids and I always spend way more time here than we plan on.

This place offers many hands on science activities for children and adults to explore at their own pace. There are always volunteers available to provide support and assistance in the area. I love the 'living animals and fish". The active bee hive is my personal favorite. Plenty of parking. . .location a little tricky. Reasonably priced for a positive experience with your children.

We were passing through on vacation and wanted to find a quick stop to let our son do something for an hour or so. We read good reviews so decided to stop by. As mentioned in a few other reviews, don't pay attention to the old school building look. Once inside, everything is hands-on and amazing! The staff is great and super helpful. We ended up staying for over two hours, and we would have stayed longer but had to get back on the road. This would be best suited for ages 7 or 8 and up. We would recommend this place to anyone!

We loved the math and science center. It looked very unassuming from the out side, but it was packed with fun things for us to experience. We loved it, our kids loved it, and we still talk about how much fun it was. This was an off-beat thing to do - but one of the highlights of our trip.

Don't be fooled when you drive up to this and find it nestled in an elementary school. This place is GREAT! We actually ended up visiting twice while on vacation in Mesa, Colorado (about an hour away). This center has dozens and dozens of hands on, interactive science displays that engage children (and adults). We have six kids age 4 - 14 and everyone had a great time here. There are microscopes, wave machines, sound cannons, black lights, plasma spheres, bug/shark/creature glasses (they let you see like each animal), live creatures, bubble tricks, magnet fun and so so so much more. It was fabulous. I can't say enough good about this place. We came back for a "Curious George goes to Space" night that they held during our stay and did even more hands on stuff. We made asteroids, shot water rockets, created egg drop containers, designed alien masks, tasted astronaut ice cream. If you are in the area and you have kids (or you just like science) don't miss this place.

We all loved it - 5 kids ages 5-11 and mom! Great value...great fun, sweet and helpful and available staff. Gem of a hands on museum!!

Really some unique experiments and demonstrations. Adult guides are there to heighten the experience. Even small kids can benefit. But probably more appropriate for 9-12 year olds. However, adults can enjoy as well.

This used to be a small elementry school. It is strangely a very interesting place well worth going out of one's way to visit. It doesn't look like much at first glance, but it is fascinating and the quality and quantity of science that is there is surprising. This in not just a place for children ... a college professor brought our class there and we were astonded. I first went there because it was one block from where we lived and where my little sister went to school in the 1960;s before it became the Math & Science Center. The 3 times I've been there was well worth the time.

I took my extended family there last week and we all had a great time. Everybody from the 6 yr old to the grandma learned something new and had fun doing it. Price is very reasonable and there is a large variety of things to do and see.

The John McConnell Math and Science Center is to be experienced by the whole family. Small, but great fun and educational.

Kind of out of the way and housed in an old elementary school is this local gem that is fun and educational every time we have been there, albeit nearby only like three time in the 10 years we have lived here. We took some friends who were in town that wanted to do something "cool" due to the hot weather so we took them last week. Much to their surprise to find that they could touch things at the museum! Working neat stuff that you could play with and knowledgeable staff that could answer questions. This is a must see for visitors and a local treasure to be cherished by locals!

Upon first impression didnt think the place had much to offer or would need to spend long there. However, once we started walking around there are exhibits all over the place. Ended up spending nearly 2 hours there. Younger kids and older kids would be able to find things to do. Was worth the stop.

Excellent displays and lots of great hands on activities to help young and old understand science in a fun and educational way! More todo than can possibly be done in one quick visit. Excellent facility with knowledgeable, friendly volunteers to help you when you need. A real bargain too!!

This was so cheap, and fun, and educational. Hard to fit in all there is to do! Even as an adult, I learned a lot about science, and got ideas for experiments we can do at home.
