quiet, nice views of mountains, nice pool, helpful staff. Good rates, lots of classes available. smaller than most exercise areas.

The South Park recreation center may be small but it does have everything for a full workout. It can be busy during early morning and after work but still easy to use any of the equipment. The pool is not too big but there was no one using it when I did a few laps. The place is very clean and comfortable. The only thing missing is a few TV's near the bikes and running machines where you can actually see them. As they are located near but you would have to look to your side to view.

Have you every been in a pool at 10,000 feet looking at mountains. This place is wonderful for family. Fairplay is charming, too.

I typically just use the pool. It's great for kids! It has a beach entry and quite a few water features. The only thing they are missing is a hot tub!

For one week in July, the town of Fairplay, CO became "home base" for groceries, gas,and of course a visit to South Park City--(it's even better than the last time.) Our 3-year-old granddaughter enjoyed touring the old train, but when she began to get fussy, a quick trip to the recently-built South Park Recreation Center's indoor swimming pools brought back the smiles. The water was warm and the "beach entry" made it easy for everyone to enjoy. There were lots of pool toys to use, too. The fact that the locker rooms and showers were new and clean made the entry fee seem a bargain. It entitles you to use the exercise machines as well. A delightful place forfamilies to relax and unwind. The small city of Fairplay should be proud.
