Best pizza in town! For years no matter where we gamble we always grab a pizza to take home. I like that their machines spit out real money and not just a piece of paper.{Love that sound}

After a day of 4 - wheeling and gold prospecting we were really hungry so another visit to Dostal alley was in order.Sitting outside during a beautiful fall day was the perfect decision to enjoy our meal but disappointment soon followed. We were ignored at the pizza order window by a woman whom has a Russian? accent while she made a pizza. When we asked for beers she pointed to the bar and when I asked again how we pay for the pizza she again pointed to the bar. When we got to the bar to order some beer and a coke and pay for our pizza we were asked if we had the order slip from the pizza. What?At this point we would have had to wait in line again at the pizza window but thankfully the bartender/casino cashier (who by the way was bouncing between both areas) said she would get our pizza slip for us.We have been here several times before and have never had bad service. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the employees.

Love the beer. Pizza is good. Have been going there for years on our rare visits to Central City. Always our first stop for a good beer and some slots.

If the pizza weren't so good, this would receive a one or two star rating. We visited first for lunch and later for dinner. Options in Central City are limited, by the way. For lunch, we sat in the window. It took a long time to finally flag a waitress over. We placed our beer order and waited for it and a menu. The food took awhile (salads and wings) but tasted ok and drink refills were very slow to be offered.For dinner, we returned for the delicious smelling pizza. After waiting upstairs for a server for a good 20 minutes, we finally approached the bar and were told that it would be quicker if we headed downstairs. We did so and our order was taken after just a few moments and delicious pizza followed.The food, beer are good here but the customer service is really struggling. If another, even decent pizza shop moves in here with good customer service, this place should worry.

You have to take time to grab a seat and a beer here while in Central City. There is always something interesting to see and hear. Buy the local paper for a dollar... bet you buy more to mail home it is that much fun l

We've visited CO several times from Iowa and each time attempt to see something different. This trip Central City was on the list of things to do. Dostal Alley seemed like the place to go for lunch and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and the food and drinks were good. Our party had the homemade rootbeer and the Summer Ale along with pizza. We shared the street tacos for an appetizer. All were enjoyed. We dropped some $ in the slot machines and got a decent pay out for what we put in the $1 slots. Would return. We're not big gamblers. We did check out the Ameristar as well while in town. Obviously, we know before going gambling is the main activity in Central City. Our trip was more about the drive, lunch and spending time together. It was a pleasant afternoon.

This place rocks! Super friendly bartenders, great beer crust pizza. Fresh, strong, micro brew. Awesome location on main street. The slots actually still pay out in real money, not tickets. You can walk around with a nice big cup of quarters.

The Service was very friendly on Monday, July 24, 2013 in the evening and I wish I had asked the Bar Maid's name as she was both nice and attentive. The handmade pizza was very tasty and the mircrobrewed beer was very good even for someone who is choosey about his beer. The only disappointment was that they didn't have the ingredients for the appetizer we ordered and it took a loooong time to get our pizza despite them not being very busy at all. I recommend you give them a try.

This is one of my favorite places to grab a bite and have a beer. The pizza is always hot and fresh and very tasty. The beer is really good. Really love the pale and amber, so tasty. Stop in and have a bite and a cold craft beer. You will not be disappointed.

Dostal Alley Brewpub & Casino claims to be the only brewery in Gilpin County, Colorado. And if you are in Central City or Blackhawk, it is worth the trip for a real beer. (they also serve the factory beers like Miller). I had the 'Shaft House Stout' and 'Pub Ale'. My wife had the 'American City Ale'. All were very good and worth having another. Which we did. The upstairs atmosphere is a saloon type ambiance, with slot machines of course. The front door upstairs faces Main Street. The downstairs has a pizza and chicken shop and even more slot machines. The back door downstairs faces the parking lot.
