Here for my kiddies was the best idea. We did combo tickets w the aquarium only to realize they offered family night and free entry later that day. Oh well. My kids had a blast here. The play area was small enough for them and then big enough for us to follow. There was so many options for just playing around. The kids where also able to create and build things, if there where able to sit long enough. So may ideas they have come up with for playing and building an imagination.

Great place for children of all ages. Easy to find. In downtown area. A must see if you have young children.

My husband and I took our 3 children. Our children range from 7-15 years old. We all had a blast. There was something for everyone. It is definately the best discovery museum we have ever been to!

If you have kids, don't miss this children's museum. I even have fun playing when I visit...and I'm more than 50 years older than most of the kids there. It is only 3 blocks, easy walking distance, from the Tennessee Aquarium, and you can get a combo ticket for both attractions.

I took my granddaughter and a friend with their son (ages 3 and 5). The kids had a ball. There were areas for us to sit and let the kids explore, but we could keep an eye on them. It was not real crowded(I hate crowds) and both the adults and children were good and tired afterwards. It was a good 3 hours of entertainment. Would definitely go back when the grandkids or friends with children come to town

I have a 3 and a 6 year old...and since my oldest was 6months i have had the membership...MY KIDS never get tired of this place...my 3yr old is in love with the river experiences and my 6yr old with the cooking classes and the experiments...there is always something new and the staff is very attentive...also if you are a member it is very cheap to rent a room for a birthday party...

This is one of our favorite Children's Museums. There is always enough to keep our kids engaged. Our 9 year old daughter was thrilled with an art lesson, son & daughter enjoyed a cooking class while husband played with our toddler in area geared for her. Perfect!

Oh my goodness your children will love this place if they like to tinker or be hands on with learning. My kids had a blast and want to go back soon. I'm actually kinds sad I couldn't do everything they were able to do. I want an adult version of this please!!!

My kids had so much fun here!! So much to do. We could have easily spent a whole day here. They have a nice little cafe with decent prices and choices. They also offer crafts and everything is hands on.

A friend and I took our one year olds to CDM and it was a lot of fun. We spent a good amount of time in the area meant for babies and toddlers, and they were very entertained. We also checked out all of the other exhibits, and although they are intended for older kids, the babies enjoyed looking at everything and watching all of the other kids play. My baby LOVED the musical instrument section. We are locals and enjoyed it enough that we got a family membership, because I can see us spending a lot of time there!

This museum is one of the better Children's Museums I have visited. It is a little older but it still has experiences that delight children of all ages. Be careful not to overlook things! My youngest child adored the bees that had a clear hive on the window when she was 4. I didn't think we were ever going to see anything else!

Our children had a blast there. We were there for 4 hours. The children wanted to stay longer. We will visit again.

So much fun! The kids could spend all day there- especially at the water exhibit. The exhibits upstairs change all the time, so check out the website.

My kids have been here several times over the last few years, and CDM has never disappointed. There is always something for everyone to do - kids under 4 area, small events like hula hooping or small animal experience in the atrium at intervals throughout the day, cooking and art classes, science magic shows, and a weekly Nature trading post where you can bring in things you find in nature and exchange for other things at their post. We have been to other special events- like Chinese New Year and their Holiday shop for little kids to shop for their family (you have to provide money for them to shop). If we lived closer, we would be there everyday :-)
