We always make sure to include a trip to the Chattanooga Market. It is FREE and they have lots of local fresh produce, local dairy with cheeses, crafts, food and usually music. There is something for everyone and we usually go at the beginning of our trip and grab some things for a picnic by the river during our stay.

It takes a little walking to get to it, but if you're a fan of fresh produce, this is where you want to go. Chattanooga is not known for having the best produce, so this is where to hunt it down. Be forewarned...it does not come cheap, but then, you get what you pay for. Arts and crafts are always a plus too.

The Chattanooga Market is always interesting and changing. Part farmers' market and part arts & crafts/ food. Most of the farmers and many of the craft people are the same each week. There are always new booths and a different theme with live music and entertainment each Sunday from 11A--4PM. A great free outing for the whole family with ample parking.

Definitely worth checking out!Got the most delicious peaches and came back the week after for more. The fresh cinnamon donuts are delicious and all the different samples of edible goods make it hard to leave there without wanting to buy everything tasted.

I visit Chattanooga once a year and always visit the Chattanooga Market while I'm in town. I love seeing all the neat art work and crafts and listening to the music. You can easily spend a whole afternoon here, checking out the various booths, get lunch from one of the many food trucks, sip some frozen lemonade to stay cool and enjoy the atmosphere.

We will plan day trips from Nashville just to be able to attend the Chattanooga Farmers Market. Great, fresh local produce, amazing foods, great arts and crafts.

I went to the market for the first time last weekend and LOVED it!! There are booths full of fresh, locally grown produce, fresh cut flower arrangements, hand made jewelry, clothes, purses, candles, pet treats and goodies, food vendors, crafts, live music, beer vendors, etc... make time to go!

This is truly one of Chattanooga's hidden treasures. Fresh produce from local vendors. Breads, beers, wines all local made. Tie-Dye, art, jewelry, crafts so much to see. If you have a afternoon to kill this is the place to be!

Having lived in the area for a bit, we finally decided to hit up the Chattanooga Market we kept hearing about. Its summer, and there are lots of veggies coming in now. So, we thought it would be a great time to go. The market was much bigger than I anticipated for such a time limited event. They are only there from 11am-4pm, I think. So, I wasn't expecting it to be so huge. Granted, the day we went there was a special charity event going on as well. There were tons of vendors, crafters, artists, etc. Plenty of food trucks if you want to do lunch there as well. There was a so much to see and sample, and we got a few unique things to take home. Next time, I'm taking my shopping bags with me and coming back with my weekly produce. The only downside, and its wasn't a problem but I want to mention it, is that there was a ton of people. Had we not come late in the day, I think we would have had to park pretty far away due to the crowd. We will definitely go back. I think this is one of our new favorite ways to spend Sunday as a family.

Date of Visit: Memorial Day weekendPros: Lots of vendors, big selection, fresh produceCons: Very crowdedWe decided to go to the Sunday Market for something new to do, and glad we did! This is a really neat little event, a bit hard to find, but huge! Be aware though that there will be lots and lots of people. If crowds aren’t your thing, stay away. But there are a lot of craft vendors, food trucks, and plenty of produce and baked goods to keep you shopping for a couple hours. They also have live music and a different theme every week (like BBQ the day we went). Prices seem reasonable. Just a note… there are 2-3 different locations at the market that have food trucks set up, so make sure you look around before you decide on something to eat. I think that this is a must see if you are in town on Sunday, after the Aquarium of course!

This once a week market has many followers locally and some tourists. The times I have gone though I was not overly impressed. There did not seem to be a large number of vendors and the quantity of items were seemed limited. Had some produce, artisan breads ,some jewelry, homemade greeting cards, etc. A few concession stands. We go to other markets and see much more then I have seen here. It is only one short day, on Sunday 11 to 4pm. We are use to going to markets that run 3 days a weekend and have longer hours like 7am to 5pm.,and 250 to 1200 vendors . We live Chattanooga and feel it would not be in our best interest to attend. We do hear good things now and then but we have mixed feelings. We went for the Christmas event.

Love going to the Chattanooga Market! Spent a lot of time enjoying numerous vendors and marketers the day we visited. Would advise getting there early because it gets crowded fast. This is one of the best markets in the area.

We love the Chattanooga Market! Each week has a special theme throughout the market season (closed in winter) - some of our favorites are strawberry festival, chili cook-off, Octoberfest and holiday market. So many vendors and booths it's hard to see everything...come early and be ready to spend a few hours. Monkey donuts are delicious...we get fruit treats for our pups....TN moonshine cake and fresh produce and bread....you can't go wrong spending your Sunday here.
