It was a Bucket List item. Only meant to do it once, but I'm taking a friend to TN Skydiving this Summer for his first jump. Might as well join him!To build my confidence, I watched dozens of their Youtube videos before making a reservation. They showed me what to expect, and assuaged all my questions and fears. I drove alone from Nashville. Due to my own fault, I was running late, and lost in Tullahoma. They called me, directed me to their back gate and let me in, to ensure I made my jump time. Very courteous, straight forward, and informative staff. I locked away my personal belongings in my car, walked in, handed my keys to the Desk, signed in, "took the course" that lasted about 45 minutes with a few other first-timers. I met my tandem instructor and camera guy, John and Jon, respectively. Both were professional and fun, just what you would expect from an Amusement Park. "First time? Ok, this is how it's gonna work. Suit up. Strap this. Buckle this. How do you want your pre-jump video interview? Landing,? Don't worry about landing, I'll teach you that after we jump. Let's go have some fun." Not once did I feel unsafe or unsure.I jumped with a dozen other amateurs and pros, camera guys, and Tandems from an air conditioned plane. John (who was MUCH smaller than me) and I landed gracefully. All of it recorded splendidly in many still photographs, and the video by Jon.I had the most profound and exhilarating experience. I virtually touched the face of God, without fear or problem, thanks to all the staff at TN Skydiving. Pilots, John, Jon, desk person, DVD editor, owner, maintenance people. Thank you.
