This is the best playground I have ever seen, and they just redid it all in fall 2014. My kids (ages 6 and 2) LOVE this place. They have a toddler area for my 2 year old and a big kid area for my 6 year old. The big kid area is amazing. The slides are huge and there is so much to do. I wish I would have had a place like this to play at as a kid!!

A brand new playground makes this an attractive, fun place to visit with family. Ava's splash pad, open in the summer, is wonderful for water play. And I like to run the path on the perimeter.

The park is a great place to take photos. You can catch all kinds of nice shots. I had tons of people ask where was I and when I told them they said that my photos made the park look larger and exciting. You just have to think outside the box. there are a lot of caverns that you can climb down to get that perfect shot. You just have to be an adventurous person that is willing to hike a little.

We love the Charlie Daniels Park. It's spacious and has something for all ages. They have a free splash pad in the summer months and some pavilions to reserve for birthday parties. There is a walking track too.My daughter loves going here!

This is a "happening" place. Located off North Mt. Juliet Road, Charlie Daniels Park offers a lot for families with children of all ages. The community center is available for rental use and includes a basketball/volleyball court, kitchen and meeting rooms. Planet Playground is a community-built wooden playground for children of all ages. My husband and I worked on this project. I understand that it is soon to be replaced with more maintenance free equipment. My granddaughter especially loved Ava's Splash Pad. Named in honor of a local girl, it offers a supervised variety of sprinklers, sprayers and misters with areas for very small children on one side and older ones on the other. In addition to the playground and Splash Pad, there are pavilions and picnic tables where you can have parties, picnics and reunions. There are tennis and basketball courts, a walking track and junior sports fields. The outdoor stage is used for various live entertainment venues, as well as movies in the park on Friday nights during the summer. I probably would not have gotten to see "Frozen" had we not had our granddaughter here for a visit. Twice a year, there is a community yard sale where you can rent space.Just at the entrance to the park is where the Mt. Juliet Farmer's Market sets up during the summer.Everytime I have been, the grounds have been very clean. This is a fabulous place that brings the community together.

I am so happy to have Charlie Daniel's Park in Mt. Juliet. My kids love going to the park. It is well maintained and has fun playground equipment and sporting opportunities for kids of all ages. Plus all the fun activities the park dept puts on throughout the year. This park is the heart of the city of Mt. Juliet.

Great spot to let the kids run around and get some exercise and fresh air. The new "Ava's Splash Pad" is a great addition for the Summer months -- be sure to have plenty of sunscreen as there is no shade and the sunlight bouncing off the concrete is brutal.

Great place to take 10 and under kids to let loose and have fun. The playground has lots of levels with jumping and climbing balancing activities, There is a nice path if you are a walker or jogger that loops around the playground.

We enjoy taking our granddaughter to this park. It really does have something for everyone. From the trails, to the playgrounds, to the basketball, tennis courts, and skate park, this park is nice. Our favorite part? Ava's Splash Pad. It's the perfect place for little ones to play in the water on those hot days. Our granddaughter has a BLAST there. To make it even more special is the splash pad was created in honor of Avalyn Shaye, who passed away far too young. Check out her story at: http://www.avalynshayefoundation.org/p/about-ava.htmlHope you get the opportunity to enjoy this community park.

The addition of Ava's splash pad has only enhanced this lovely recreation area. The kids park resembles a fort of sorts and offers a great play area for children of all ages.
