We stopped by this vineyard on one of our trips. We have visited many and this is our new favorite! The Madame Muscadine wine is without a doubt the best we have had! The owner was a gracious southern lady and we enjoyed our visit with her. We will try to get back for the crawfish festival!! The grounds and the building are just beautiful!

We've been to Amber Falls many times in the last 2 years. The winery is in a remote location on Ridgetop Road. As you arrive you drive through their well maintained vineyard. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The wine tasting bar is in the wine cellar, great classic location. They have a wide variety of wines to suit everyone's taste. Most of the year they have music on Friday, Saturday and Sundays under the gazebo and grounds around the winery. They also have annual festivals that are very popular. If I was going to visit a winery, this is the one I would select.

Oh Wow! What a fabulous and pleasant surprise. Hidden -- somewhere in Tennessee -- o.k. it's about 1.5 hours south-east of Nashville, is this lovely family owned/operated winery. Bring a picnic basket because they don't sell food (except for chocolate) On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there's awesome live music from remarkable local artists. My visit was this past Friday and it featured (the very aptly named) The Redwine Effect. Such an Excellent performance they put on. There's also a lovely gift shop (did some early Xmas shopping ;) and, of course, wine tasting. The people who own and operate that place are kind, friendly, and Oh-So-knowledgeable. It was sheer pleasure to spend an evening listening to original music, eating chocolates and drinking wine :-)One word of caution - watch out for deer darting out onto the roadway.

First of all the outside of this winery has gazebos and on the weekends in the summer there's usually a jazz band or songwriters night. They have a good variety of sweets and dries. Their staff is fun, too! The tasting room is in the cellar. It's a really nice tasting room and they have little trinkets and wine accessories you can buy in the shop.

Very nice place, you drive thru the vineyard to get to the tasting room. The property is just beautiful! They have a outside stage where they have live music events, plenty of seating under nice shade trees. The tasting room is down in the cellars and it is very nice and well decorated. The guys in the tasting room were very nice and very knowledgeable of the wines and the area in general. The wines were very good! Recommend this place.

We were in the area and decided to check out a1-2 of the wineries to see what this part of Tennessee had to offer. We were Pleasantly surprised by both the outside setting and inside wine tasting room. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and the surrounding area.. We are not big wine drinkers but ended up buying a couple of bottles not so much because the wine was the best we have had but it was unique especially the Cajun one. A bit pricey per bottle but like helping an independent merchant and having something unique to remember from out trip to the area. Wish we could have been there for the music because the grounds looked wonderful and could imagine having a great time listening to music with a glass of wine.

Amber Falls is a more or less typical of the many wineries in the U.S. devoted to hosting tourist and wedding receptions. An employee admitted to us most of the grapes they planted on the property do not do very well. However, they have had some good luck with California grapes. Unfortunately, the wines are considerably overpriced compared to similar offerings from California properties. This is not unusual, but it is mostly beside the point. It's fun to drink the local product in a picturesque setting like Amber Falls. What makes Amber Falls particular worth visiting is the astonishing wealth of talent that lives just up or down the road or drives down from Nashville to entertain. We visited two evenings and were entertained by 5 or 6 top-notch musicians. The names we never heard of (we're not country music fans), but the virtuosity truly impressed. There isn't much to eat with your wine at Amber Falls -- just a few cheeses and Cryovac salamis, and the places closes around 8 PM. Still, we loved it!

And it is definitely worth a visit. I visited Amber Falls Winery last April and fell in love with the atmosphere. Who knew there were wineries like this in Tennessee? Pack a lunch or dinner and enjoy the live music under the pavilion. There is a cute little "general store" in Hampshire that serves food. Great "white bread" sandwiches. I returned last month in May for their annual Cajunfest complete with boiled crawfish, jamabalaya, boudin, fried gator and wine tasting. Zydeco music of course! (The owners are Cajun.) Good time! Natchez Hills B&B is close by for lodging or chose a hotel in Columbia, TN. Part of the Natchez Trace Wine Trail, Natchez Hills and Keg Springs Wineries are just a couple of miles away too.

We love to go to Amber falls winery to sample the wines and listen to the live music on the patio. We bring some food with us, buy a bottle of wine (or 2!) and enjoy great local musicians. It is very unpretentious, very welcoming, and just a great relaxed atmosphere. Check out their music schedule and we'll see you there sometime!

Don't be put off by the drive and the surrounding area...the winery is worth it. You will pass the well manicured vineyards as you drive to the winery. The grounds are very nice, with lots of outdoor seating and covered areas. When we walked downstairs to the tasting area, we were welcomed by a friendly guy who encouraged us to come to the counter and taste their wines. He attended to us, as well as a bachelorette party, until another friendly employee came to serve us. The atmosphere was great, and they made us feel very welcomed and made us feel at ease. Don't know the lady's name, but she even gave me a recipe for using their wine in making a jelly! We were told each time about the wine and it's characteristics, and with foods which it would pair well. She made us feel relaxed about our lack of wine knowledge. The wine was very good! We bought several bottles, and will definitely check the internet for their upcoming events...Canjunfest and music!

I have been coming to Amber Falls since 2008. My husband took a trip there with his cousin and thought it would be nice to have me try a bottle of wine.. I have been buying their wine every since. I see some people say that were not too impressed with the wine because it was sweet but those people could not have tasted all their wines. There is nothing like a nice day with friends drinking wine on the wonderful land they have made for the customers to enjoy themselves. I have grown to LOVE the staff and love the live music. I know there are other wineries in TN, but if you want personable treatment and not the crowded winery that rushes you to taste like an assembly line, or one that resembles you are in a liquor store, go to Amber Falls where you will get wine, good times and a place with great people!

The grounds of Amber falls are beautiful, the tasting room is charming, the music is wonderful and the people are welcoming. The wine, however, is just okay. Most of it is quite sweet, which is not to our liking. However, the number of wines to try is plentiful and there is lots of information shared with the tasters. I sooo wanted to like the wine more, because everything else was wonderful. I will go back, because I know at some point they will make one I like!

We walked the grounds and were impressed with the design. We were greeted by nice dog. We have a hobby called geocaching. There was a geocache close by so we got it. This could be a nice place for a picnic

This place has an amazing facility but the wine is not that great. If you are looking more for the look/feel then this is the place but the wine is lacking. I think the focus is too strongly placed on atmosphere and not one wine making. But, we still had a nice time.

We had a few hours to burn before we were able to check into our hotel. Decided to take an afternoon trip to the winery. What a gorgeous location!!!!!! Worth the drive!!!!! Wine was tasty, the staff/owners were super friendly and loved to chat about wine and the region. Passionate about their work!!!
